In the past, like many people I suppose, I would only write a review when I felt a product or service was really bad. You wanted to warn others. In this case I’m writing a review because the service we received went way above what we had hoped for, or what we had ever expected! I found Heidi through an internet search. Sadly, my wife’s brother had passed away and his elderly wife was living alone in New York. At the time, she was in an assisted living facility and suffering from dementia. She had no children or family members nearby. We wanted to bring her down to Florida to live by us, but we were in desperate need of elder law advice and estate planning. Simply put, we needed help if we were ever going to accomplish this. We had an attorney in New York who was also licensed in Florida, but we wanted someone who was local and really knew the “ins and outs” of Florida elder law and estate planning. I spoke with 2 or 3 attorneys over the phone, but none of them impressed me. They might have been good attorneys, but they all seemed more concerned that I understood their fee structure as opposed answering any questions. Finding Heidi was a Godsend. Heidi promptly returned my call and spent more time with me then she probably should have. I knew I wanted to take advantage of the free consultation she offered, so my wife and I met with her. We were both impressed. We were impressed with her knowledge, that fact that she listened, she asked insightful questions, she understood what we were trying to accomplish and she offered us great advice. She was also very compassionate about our situation and it would soon become very obvious that she is someone that really cares about people. Without going into details, ours was an especially complicated and very unusual situation. With Heidi’s guidance, things could not have turned out any better. My sister-in-law is now down here living by us and things are basically on cruise control. Heidi definitely knows what she is doing. I would also be remiss if I didn’t also thank Paul Solomon, the V.P. of Business Development for Heidi’s company, “Elder Law Department, PA.” Paul played an important role in helping us achieve our goals. My wife and I could not offer up any higher praise for Heidi, Paul, and her company “Elder Law Department, P.A.” If you are lucky enough to live in South Florida and you are in need of estate planning help or advice in the field of elder law, look no further then Heidi. A higher recommendation we could not give you!

I came to Heidi through a gentleman who was helping me with VA benefits for my elderly parents. I needed an elder care attorney who could help with the finance planning for my parents as they approached needing an assisted living facility. Heidi was amazing. Not only did she facilitate the executing of all the required legal documents, but she efficiently helped us put all their finances in order taking into consideration every possible contingency. She even drove to us several times when reasons didn't allow us to come to her office. Her expertise in accomplishing everything we needed put myself and my siblings at ease. Aside from her legal expertise, just as important was her human touch. Within 5 minutes of meeting her, I felt I knew her for a long time. Under different circumstances and more convenient geography, I felt that I could have been her friend. She was supportive emotionally and was always there for questions. She was available by email and phone and and always responded promptly, and not with one sentence answers, but always with thorough explanations. She was patient with her explanations with both the legal and financial issues that I needed to go over several times before I truly understood them. Only superlatives come to mind when describing Heidi.

In my enterprises, I use many legal specialists (e.g. tax, litigation, labor, M&A, real estate, et al) Heidi is very different-she treats her clients like family. This is so important when dealing with elderly who are scared as are their family care givers. She is my 1st and only Elder Care lawyer. I moved my mother from Pennsylvania to Florida. Heidi was amazing! She was prompt, kind, did everything right, and made me feel very confident during the process.
