My experience is a little different because I did not need representation from this firm. I wanted to commemorate Rachel Newman for going above and beyond for nearly a total stranger. A close friend of mine is an inmate that Rachel represented in the past. She was the last known form of contact for safely sending funds. Not only did she respond to me right away, but she informed me that the case was closed and therefore no longer represented my friend. Even still she assisted me in sending the funds with literally nothing to gain! I know she is extremely busy and yet somehow still managed to find the time to hear out my dilemma and also solve it! I am grateful and flattered for the time she spent out of her day on two separate occasions. Her unexpected generosity has restored my faith in humanity. This experience is going to sound like a movie but I promise you it’s true I used to live in Fort Lauderdale went to college and relocated my family from Pennsylvania then I had a run-in with the law in 2005 before I was to appear in court hurricane Wilma hit our city hard to the point our residence became uninhabitable then homeless our only choice was to move back to PA luckily my mother was able to find us a new home during this time my wife’s health declined due to several complications of diabetes she became legally blind and developed kidney failure miraculously I was a donor match and was able to donate my kidney to her the operation was a success and for years I just focused on taking care of my family until one day during a routine traffic stop the officer had told me I had a warrant from Broward County for an FTA but it was only in state I immediately wanted to settle this matter but then suddenly an outbreak of COVID-19 emerged as you know the pandemic shut the whole world down around 2020 I lost contact with my original lawyer so I opted to hire another attorney and schedule a hearing on video through an app called zoom I paid some fines and court costs and was led to believe the case was settled and closed 4 years later August 2024 I was pulled over for making a illegal left turn from a gas station i was arrested apparently it was for a bench warrant I didn’t even know existed i argued in my defense that it was handled but the but the arresting officer said no Broward county wants you to be expedited back to Florida I was taken to prison sitting in a cell in pure disbelief thinking God please send me an angel that angels name was Rachel Newman my wife and eldest daughter found her out of five pics on Google gave her a call and were highly impressed with her warm disposition kindness professionalism and most importantly for her compassion for the truth and justice this made them feel very confident on receiving a positive outcome for my case meanwhile I had a detainer so I couldn’t use my bond even though my bill was paid Rachel was able to get the detainer lifted a week later I was released a freeman but still in the system she emailed me the documents to Carry as proof just in case I was stopped or pulled over for any reason this way I had my get out of jail card so to speak honestly you can’t imagine the amount of stress this 19-year-old case was causing for my family and I especially considering everything we’ve been through a month and a half later she was able to get the case dismissed I highly recommend Rachel Newman from Meltzer and Bell for anyone seeking expert representation Rachel is the one you want to handle your case she is truly heaven sent
