Dirty dogs! If I could give 100 negative stars, I would. They took my retainer money for bankruptcy filing had me sign a contract and submit to them all of my personal information including social security number tax returns and guess what? I got a call at 7 p.m. from an attorney slurting his speech, after they missed their 4 pm appointment with me stating that they were not going to represent me and that they would refund me and guess what? They have not refunded me nor nullified my contract in over 6 weeks! I borrowed the money from my mother to file bankruptcy for a fresh start after I've spent the past 20 years as a 911 widow raising my 3 sons as a single hard working Health Care Professional. The degree of disrespect and deception that I received from them is unparalleled! I've never met a law firm so absolutely unprofessional and callous. I'm an educated person I have a master's degree I've served society and raise my children as well as being a first responder and spent my life earnings & savings caring for my husband and children. I don't deserve that level of disrespect, nor does my 92 year old mother for loaning me the money. They violated client attorney privilege by alarmingly discussing my personal affairs with my mother who is 92 years old causing her great emotional distress. She does not want and can't accept the harsh facts of my reality. I am so embarrassed and humiliated that I ever trusted this firm. As far as I'm concerned they are an unscrupulous disgrace to the legal profession.

When changed circumstances made it impossible for me to keep up with payments to my debtors, I had no recourse but to accept the suggestion to talk with a bankruptcy attorney. Van Horn Law Group was highly recommended to me and within two business days I had a free phone consultation with them. They were very professional but at the same time very kind, patient and understanding. It was determined that my best option was to file a chapter 7 bankruptcy case. I was later advised that DESIREE REMOROZA was assigned to be my Legal Assistant. In very short order Desiree telephoned me and true to the reputation of Van Horn Law Group, she was very professional but empathetic and easy to talk with. She conducted a more detailed interview to get information necessary for the case, and briefly explained the process involved. She answered my questions, and assured me that I should feel free to call, text or email her with any questions or concerns. She quickly followed up via an email, in which she listed all the documents she needed to proceed with the case, and detailed other steps I needed to take to have the case filed. Desiree communicates very clearly, so I never had to guess what was needed. She also assured me that she would do her part towards achieving a speedy and successful conclusion of the case. Whenever I emailed a set of documents she'd update the list. While making it clear that they cannot proceed until they got everything they asked for, she never made me feel guilty when I had delays in submitting some of the documents. As promised, Desiree successfully completed her part and has now turned the case over to the next team members. It was a pleasure working with Desiree. I appreciate her hard work in helping me this far and I unhesitatingly recommend her as a FIVE STAR member of Van Horn Law Group.
