If you need an immigrant lawyer please do not go anywhere else besides for Elan!!! My mother became a US citizen at the age of 12. And at the age of 28 I decided I wanted my US passport. I went to the US embassy in my hometown and they declined for lack of evidence. I called maybe 3 immigration lawyers in Florida and all 3 told me I couldn’t apply directly for my passport I had to apply for my certificate of citizenship first which was a wait of 18 months (they did not know the law I was applying under). I came to the US did the application on my own at first and kept receiving letters stating that my file is incomplete. After over 1 year of struggling to obtain my passport I was referred to Elan Barrett. As soon as I met with Elan and explained my situation he knew exactly the law I was applying under and confirmed that I was eligible to apply directly for my US passport as I am American. He took charge of my file and gave me multiple resources to collect the necessary information. After a few months, I got my passport!!!!!!!!
