Pros
1
Highly knowledgeable, experienced, and hardworking attorney
“Carrie is very knowledgeable, experienced and hard working attorney. I'm very grateful to have had Carrie by my side, she's truly amazing at what she does and would recommend her to anyone that needs help with family law.”
2
Dedicated and passionate in fighting for her clients
“She takes her gloves off and gets dirty. When she told me that I had nothing to worry about, even though I did worry, I shouldn't have had to. She went to battle against two lawyer's.”
3
Excellent communication and responsiveness
“She would return my calls/emails/text promptly and always made me feel that my case was very important to her, never forgetting the smallest detail.”
4
Trustworthy and honest
“Carrie is not your regular attorney. She doesn't chase the dollar signs, she doesn't promise things, and later never comes through with them, or she's not your typical "I will call you back" or "leave a message after the tone" type of Attorney.”
5
Provides a personalized and caring experience
“As soon as I walked into Carrie's office she made feel so secure about myself. She is awesome. She is so knowledgeable, and fights for you down right.”

I met Carrie 16 years ago when my son was 2 months young and I needed representation. She was excellent then and, even better now. I have used her for personal matters since and have been 100% satisfied with her work every time. She is aggressive and passionate with every case and sets realistic expectations. I have recommended her to several friends and colleagues and will continue to do so. Above all, Carrie can be trusted every step of the way.

As you go through the ups and downs of life we all find ourselves in need of a guardian angel sometimes this guardian Angel comes in many different shapes and forms and we may not expect this guardian Angel to appear in the form of an attorney but if I may be so bold as to say Carrie has a heart and conviction of truth honesty and pureness that aligns with truth the devotion of time and skill which has far surpassed anything I could have imagined and the connection to decency and honesty aligned with my mission as a father to be heard and to allow truth to be discovered along my journey which has lasted many years, I will be forever thankful to her for all of my life, Carrie Turner is absolutely at the top of the list of guardian angels that have come into my life at the most hectic time to make very clear technical and visual and emotional sense of who I was what I stood for and what the truth was this was extremely skillfully orchestrated by her and I will be forever grateful..... If you become in need of an attorney for any reason I can only say you would be making a positive life-changing decision if you choose to have Carrie Ann Turner in your corner thank you so much Carrie..

I highly recommend Evan Kleiman for representation in a criminal case. He is courteous, efficient, professional and makes communication throughout the whole process very easy. He took the time to go over all my concerns literally any time I called. I felt immediately like I was a V.I.P. Most importantly, however, is the result and what it came to that I couldn't have been happier. He was able to ger my charges dismissed prior to the arraignment. He is diligent, professional and highly effective

To say that Aaron Kesselman is a good lawyer would be a gross understatement. Aaron assisted us in the sale of our home. From first contact to the final documents, we found Aaron to be diligent, thorough, and extremely responsive. Aron very much went above and beyond, from finding small inconsistencies in documents to reminders of dates and times. This was the fourth house we have sold, so we are familiar with the process, given that,: I would rate Aaron as exceptional. I would highly recommend Aaron and hope to have the opportunity to work with him again in the future.

My son had a problem where he could have been facing serious time in jail. Mr. Salzman told us that he would do his best to make sure that did not occur. Throughout the process he worked hard to make sure he defended my son. Researching common law and working within the system to get the best result. His hard work and diligence allowed my son to have a favorable outcome.

Richard Salzman is an excellent criminal lawyer in every way! He is kind and easy to talk to. He listens to you and makes you feel like everything is going to be fine. He is so confident, you leave his office feeling calm and reassured. He is easy to reach and always returns calls and he made me feel like I am his most important client! In court, Richard is the ultimate professional. He met me early and put my mind at ease right away. He explained everything and guided me through the process. Richard was prepared, focused and walked into the courtroom full of confidence and energy. He spoke to the Prosecutor and Judge for me and I hardly said a word. It was amazing how everyone treated Richard with so much respect and friendliness. And the BEST thing was, Richard was able to get me a great plea deal where I get my case DISMISSED in 3 months! Richard made a very frightening situation for me a simple “walk in the park” – Thank you Richard!!

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Hollywood, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
