I was charged with DUI and Musca Law got me off BOTH the criminal AND the DMV case. They are the absolute best in Florida. Yes, you can find cheaper options but you get what you pay for. With Joe Schmo law youre not going to get experts in each arena that encompasses a DUI case. Rebecca is absolutely a star. Her level of expertise in the DMV portion is unmatched. Every email, every exchange, every conversation was so well articulated I was beyond impressed. Her knowledge of the different people that handle DMV cases on the state’s side is impressive. She was able to tailor her argument and strategy to the particular officer dealing with my case. It’s easy to think “Ohh well it’s easy for him to say since they got him off but my case is different.” I question the decision, not the result. It all comes down to expertise. A lawyer versus a specialized attorney.. and in their case, specialized attorneys in each area you will deal with in a DUI case. Don’t trip over dollars to pick up pennies, spend the extra money up front to get the best results tomorrow. Trust me, it’s worth it.

Ms. Devall was retained for a child custody case. Within the first month of retaining she informed me that the opposing party actually informed her of a procedural error in which she made; that should have been red flag #1. From the beginning it seemed like she meant well, but was clearly over-extended and did not have the time to commit to my case. I regularly had to ask about the status of my case, and would often go days or weeks without a response. Phone calls, emails, and texts would go unreturned. I would have no communication with her until maybe a day or so before a hearing, in which it would seem as if she was playing catch up. Needless to say we would appear before the judge unprepared. There was even an instance where the judge scolded her for not correctly filing paperwork, additionally, evidence and paperwork failed to be filed on my half behalf, leading to embarrassing moments in front of the judge and opposing counsel. Because of this, may case has dragged on and damaged my case, causing me money, time and my legal rights. I attempted on multiple occasions to reach her to address my concerns, asking if I should pay more money to get more attention to my case (on more than one occasion), and even directly asking if I should seek other counsel. None of my attempts were reciprocated or returned. Finally, I decided to take it upon myself to seek new representation. I have had multiple consultations with attorneys (of which I neglected to bad mouth Ms. DeVall in any way), and the overwhelming consensus among all of them is that my case has been mishandled and most of my money retaining a new attorney would be spent cleaning up a mess and doing damage control. If a lawyer does not have the bandwidth to handle a case, it should be stated in the beginning, or it should be flat out refused.

I would like to say that if you are thinking about retaining Stacey as your lawyer. PLEASE PLEASE don’t over think it and do it. This has been one of the most overwhelming times in my life. There was times I was in tears!! When I tell you Stacey is so down to earth and will communicate with you even if she has to do it via text. She won’t leave you hanging and worried! She knows her stuff and she gets the job done in a timely manner! I will always always use for my attorney with any legal matters I ever am faced with going forward.
