Matthew Martell is hugely knowledgeable, a product of his long experience. He's hard-working and possessing of both good judgment and fully professional demeanor. Martell's is a family business, with his wife serving as office manager. It's an effective team, putting forward the personal touch and offering some assurance everyone is on the same script. While I participated in all decisions arising during and after my complicated divorce, I soon learned to trust entirely in Mr. Martell's recommendations, and his explanations for them. When recommendations pointed toward more than one viable option, Martell worked with me to choose the one which would satisfy me the most. Having such counsel meant the Opposing Counsel was outclassed, and one might as well be on the better represented side. Martell's work ethic is also pretty amazing. He works full days, yet very frequently emailed me his product late at night or on weekends. He could have pushed himself less sometimes, as I know some other attorneys might, but he didn't. HIs dedication to his clients was also reflected by the fact that during part of my divorce period, attorney Martell firmly turned away all new clients. Matthew Martell is a detail man, almost (but not) to a fault. I was always kept up to date, usually by immediate emails, of all communications with opposing counsel, the court or third parties. These updates normally included the exact texts exchanged and an explanation of their significance. Probably everyone wants a moderately aggressive attorney, who at the same time is respected enough by his legal peers to have their valuable respect. This is the case with Matthew Martell. He clearly is well-regarded by his peers, and therefore probably by judges, too. Attorney Martell is also a specialist in trusts. While this isn't of significance to some potential clients, it can be invaluable to those with more assets at stake. This expertise was very valuable to me. I don't have sufficient experience to comment authoritatively on relative attorney costs. Attorney Martell's billing rate is competitive. He's always working hard and always "on message." The costs were more than I hoped for, but the work performed on my complicated case was far more than I foresaw. Most importantly, the results were very good, and therefore in my eyes his services were overall excellent value.

Matt Martell was my attorney in my high-conflict divorce case. My ex-husband was extremely difficult to work with (as was his attorney) and tried to make the divorce process a living nightmare for me. However, Mr. Martell worked quickly and efficiently, and he helped to alleviate much of the stress that I was enduring throughout the case. I was always kept up to date with what Mr. Martell was working on for my case, and he was very thorough in explaining to me what to expect next. I never felt pressured to do anything and was always told what all of my options were. I received answers/responses to all of my emails and phone calls within 24 hours (usually within only 1-4 hours depending on urgency.) He gives his clients his cell phone number, making him accessible 24/7 in the event of an emergency. Because of Mr. Martell’s thorough preparation and extreme professionalism, my divorce was able to be settled through mediation, and I am VERY happy with my settlement agreement. In addition to his hard work on my case, Mr. Martell was completely upfront and honest with me at my consultation appointment regarding realistic expectations, payment and fees (including retainer), etc. He explained that he prefers the divorce proceedings to be civil but that he would go to court if necessary. (This was important to me because many attorneys in my area are practicing “collaborative law” and will not go to court to resolve issues.) I received an itemized bill every Friday (or sooner if funds were due) that outlined every detail for each charge. His Office Manager, Karen, is not only the epitome of professionalism, but she is also an absolute sweetheart and truly makes you feel at ease and that you have good people in your corner fighting for you every step of the way. If you are looking for an experienced, ethical, intelligent, hard-working, and honest attorney who will make the difficult times of divorce as painless and stress-free as possible, then hiring Matt Martell is a MUST. Can’t thank him enough!!!!!!!

When looking for a Family Lawyer I had to find someone who would be there for me in my Divorce case.So I searched and reviewed different Attorneys after a lot of time and reviews I found Matthew Z Martell. He started by having me in for a consultation after that I new he was the right Attorney for my Case he kept me informed at all times as to what was going in in my case and he stood by me all the way to the end.
