Valentina Wheeler is the founder and principal of Wheeler Law Firm, PLLC located in Largo, Florida. Valentina has subject matter expertise in probate litigation, family law, civil litigation and personal injury law. She also won the American Institute of Legal Advocates’ Elite Advocate Award in both 2018 and 2019. Valentina is a bright and diligent attorney. She is professional, well prepared and an effective advocate for her clients. Without hesitation I recommend and endorse Valentina.

I'd tried reaching out through the email on their site about a potential case I had but never heard back. After a while had passed with no response, I decided to stop by the office some day so I could ask questions in person. Unfortunately, zero of the lawyers were in the office at that time. The girl at the front took my information and said one of the lawyers would call me back to follow up for either a phone assessment or for me to go back into the office if I was going to be nearby. So, I lingered in the area for a few hours. Still no call back. I'd really, really wanted to like this firm. I love what they claim to stand for and I believed they would fight for justice. But not even taking the time to return a call to a potential client is a huge slap in the face, filled with disappointment and wasted time. Now, I have to search for another lawyer in the area who at least pretends to be compassionate. Apparently that really is an imaginary concept with lawyers. I was hoping I was wrong about that.

I was referred to Joe and Jerica Carins by another attorney. I felt confident in the referral and once I spoke to Joe. However, I engaged and paid my retainer in March and still haven't recovered my personal property. I have requested this ever month, bi-weekly, for the past 6 months. I am disappointed. I feel unimportant and not valued by the attorney I hired to guide me through one of the most difficult times in my life. The staff of Carins law is disrespectful and do not adhere to my request to use proper titles. Even my request for them to apply my proper and earned title to the court documents fell on deaf ears. The entire process has been laden with little to no communication, no follow through on requests for personal property or case status, followed by a rising sense that I am going to lose any investment, monies, or property from this divorce. It was recommend that I participate in a mediation that was fruitless, redundant and didn't even move the bar forward, but seemed to empower the other side in filing needless interrogatories and burying me in paper work. I CAUTION any one looking for divorce representation to look to another attorney. I cannot in full faith and confidence recommend Carins Law, at this point in my divorce. The main reason is the lack of communication, follow-through, and client courtesy.

Excellent professional service

This attorney had a very simple name change that needed to be done for over a year now. I have emailed them so many times in regards the original court order as I needed it for social security and passport Paperwork and no response. Very unprofessional, do your self a favor and hire someone who will work for you and not just take your money and never hear back from them.
