The Bryant Law Firm is fantastic! A must if your looking for a law firm that really takes an interest in you and your concerns. Usually when contacting a lawyer you get an operator and your message is sent forward and you can wait around for days for an answer but when I called The Bryant Law Firm Mr Bryant himself answered the phone and was very professional and very courteous and extremely knowledgeable and was able to help me with all of my questions in a manner that made me feel very comfortable and at ease and made me feel very confident that I had made the right choice by contacting The Bryant Law Firm. And after our call the firms manager Gerry who was also very professional and courteous called me right back to make sure all my questions were answered to my satisfaction and assured me that I could call them at any time with any further concerns. I would highly recommend The Bryant Law Firm to anyone who is looking for top notch legal representation regardless of what your situation might be or questions are and I guarantee that speaking with Mr Bryant for 5 minutes will put your mind at ease also and make you realize that you've made the right choice in selecting the best legal representation you can find. When I reached out for help to the Bryant Law Firm, our family had been put in a legal mess by ineffective council, to say the least. The first person that I spoke with was Gerry Young he is professional, attentive, kind, and compassionate. As soon as I explained our situation, he told me to please hold and instantly put me in contact with the boss Randy Bryant. Mr. Bryant immediately exhibited level of top tier excellence that will forever set the bar for my expectations in any professional that we will hire in the future. As he listened to our concerns, he started his research into our case immediately, which shows me immediately that he really takes pride in his work and does his due diligence. He was so thoughtful that he set up an in person meeting the next day since he would be representing my father, and he understood that my dad is of the hand shake and look into your eyes generation. He went over everything with my dad and assured him that he would treat this case with the same level of care as his biggest clients because that is the kind of upstanding professional he is and expects everyone that works in his firm to be. Making that saying of "Equal protection under the law" comes to life with a human connection. This matter was dragged on by ineffective council for two years, and in less than one month, the Bryant Law Firm brought our case into full compliance. Randy assigned Justin Sanchez to get us in full compliance he is professional, efficient, attentive, direct, truly personable and kind. The speed at which they all worked together as a team truly speaks to the passion they have for their craft and to the respect that they all have for their clients. After dealing with this legal quagmire for two years I can honestly say I was a nervous wreck and they all assured me that they would do everything in their power to bring this to an end with a clean slate and they are true to their word, answering all of our questions and concerns. I can honestly say that I received a world class client experience with them, and our family will forever be grateful and life long clients!

Hired this law firm and they were attentive to my needs for the first few weeks. The person assigned to my case, I was told, left the firm in the middle of handling my case. I was assigned someone else and have not been able to get anyone the phone, can’t get anyone to respond to me via email, just nothing! My case is moving forward without council on my end. Very disappointing law firm, especially being that I was sold on them through how compassionate and willing to work with me they were. But, they abandoned me in the middle of my case.

I went in to see Carolina to help my father with an immigration issue. He had a case from 1985 that was could have gotten him deported. Ms. Corona informed us that we can try to get the case re-opened and try to get the charges reduced. After about 6 months I just got word that the judge approved to re open the case. We are now waiting to see what will happen with the original case but she is very knowledgable and has been very helpful through out the process. I will post an update when I get one.

Johnlee solved a contract problem for me with reasonable billing. He did just what a lawyer is supposed to do by providing "a lawyer's stock in trade" which is good advice and direction based on his education and experience. I thought his extensive education in other fields was a big help as well.

Alejandro Vera is a great Estate Lawyer and Bilingual. I was looking for a Spanish speaking lawyer as my mother only speaks Spanish. After speaking to Alejandro over the phone I hired him. Alejandro has a true passion for his job. Compassion for his clients. When me and my mother went to his office he immediately asked my mother what was her first language. He spoke to my mother in Spanish and answered all my mother's questions. Alejandro has great communication skills and a willingness to listen. Alejandro did a awesome job with the Estate Will and gave me very clear instructions. I will recommend Alejandro Vera. Thank you very much.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Miami, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
