Ron was Amazing! He was confident immediately from the first interaction that he could take on the case. Ron was very upfront and told us how he would handle the case. My case was unique because I was convicted by the military court system, and it occurred outside of Florida. His great communication skills were able to clearly convey complex legal concepts to prosecutor and judge. This has never happened where the prosecutor agreed , and we were able to get it done without a hearing. The judge had issued an order granting my petition for removal from Florida's sex offender registry. This was under two months since hiring him. Thank You Ron. You're the Best!

Mr Kleiner represented me in circuit court . He was extremely professional, articulate and knowledgeable of the law. He stated as many sections of the law needed to win my case. He succeeded and received a favorable decision from the judge. Thank you is not enough words. Very appreciative for your help.

Ron Kleiner successfully represented me in my challenge to remove the requirement that I be listed on the Florida Sex Offender Registry (SRO). My only regret is not hiring Ron sooner. Had I reached out to him earlier, my registration requirement could have ended several years ago. I had consulted with several attorneys over the years and was always told, "There is no way to be removed from the registration requirement." I learned about Ron Kleiner through the organization Florida Action Committee (FAC). Ron is well-versed in the laws regarding the Florida SRO, more so than many other attorneys, prosecutors, and judges. When I reached out to him last year, he offered to review my case and any records I could provide, without any cost or obligation. He quickly identified a possible error in my arrest history—an arrest that had never occurred. He advised me to challenge the misinformation, which I did, and the error was removed. With the newly corrected report, he explained that we were now in a much better position to challenge my registration requirement. He filed my case at the beginning of July, and by mid-September, I was in court to receive what can only be described as life-changing news—the prosecution did not challenge my removal, and the judge agreed to my request. Ron is thorough, responsive, and highly knowledgeable. He made himself available by phone, text, and email whenever I had a question about my case or the process. He was patient with me during the months it took for me to fully commit to moving forward with the challenge. When I finally gave him the go-ahead, he promptly got to work. Every case is different, depending on the details surrounding the charges and a person’s life circumstances afterward. Ron will be brutally honest about the chances of success. While no one can guarantee successful removal, he has the knowledge and experience to assess your situation and tell you if it’s possible—and then work to make it happen. You will not regret hiring Ron Kleiner—unless you delay making the decision. You owe it to yourself and your loved ones to speak with him and explore your options.

I went in to see Carolina to help my father with an immigration issue. He had a case from 1985 that was could have gotten him deported. Ms. Corona informed us that we can try to get the case re-opened and try to get the charges reduced. After about 6 months I just got word that the judge approved to re open the case. We are now waiting to see what will happen with the original case but she is very knowledgable and has been very helpful through out the process. I will post an update when I get one.

Johnlee solved a contract problem for me with reasonable billing. He did just what a lawyer is supposed to do by providing "a lawyer's stock in trade" which is good advice and direction based on his education and experience. I thought his extensive education in other fields was a big help as well.

Alejandro Vera is a great Estate Lawyer and Bilingual. I was looking for a Spanish speaking lawyer as my mother only speaks Spanish. After speaking to Alejandro over the phone I hired him. Alejandro has a true passion for his job. Compassion for his clients. When me and my mother went to his office he immediately asked my mother what was her first language. He spoke to my mother in Spanish and answered all my mother's questions. Alejandro has great communication skills and a willingness to listen. Alejandro did a awesome job with the Estate Will and gave me very clear instructions. I will recommend Alejandro Vera. Thank you very much.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Miami, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
