I hired Richard Gregg in 2017 to handle my home invasion, Charge. I had a previous lawyer before him which I had to fire her and then he took over. He made miracles happen they wanted to give me 10 years. He worked it down To Probation, I violated On probation and he got the violation dismissed and took my case pro bono because he knew I wasn’t A rich person he went above and beyond for what he charged me he always answered the phone even late night, text messages with my mom always keeping us up-to-date and always preparing us. Please take my word if you need a great defense attorney at a great price so someone that actually cares hire him do not waste your time with all these other people they will sell you fairytales he tells you exactly how it is, if I could give more than five stars, I will today December 2024. I have completely turned my life around. I am off probation. Thanks to this man

Where to begin …. Richard Gregg is an amazing lawyer !! It took me sometime to find a lawyer that would charge me a reasonable amount ( set me up with a payment plan ) , show compassion and was fair . My husband violated his probation with new charges back in November of 2022 (one being a PBL) andthe state was offering up to 45 years ! As a wife you hear this for your husband / family and it breaks you with the thought of losing your loved one to the system. Today , I walked out of my husband’s sentencing after everything and am pleased to say he was given 3 years for his VOP. This has been a long awaiting day to finally know my husbands fate. Richard does not play in that courtroom !!! We still have the trial to deal with but … I believe Mr. Gregg will squash that one too ! On behalf of my husband and myself we thank him beyond words can say .

Dear Mr. Gregg esq., I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your exceptional expertise and unwavering dedication in handling my brother's case. Your remarkable skills and commitment have made a profound impact on our lives, and we are truly grateful for all that you have done. From the moment we heard about your reputation through word of mouth, we knew that we were fortunate to have you on our side. Learning that you were the first attorney to win the 1st Stand Your Ground Hearing in the state of Florida was not only impressive but also reassuring. Your extensive knowledge and experience with the Stand Your Ground Law, along with the related statutes, set you apart as a true expert in your field. Throughout my brother's challenging journey towards exoneration, you stood by him with unwavering confidence and belief in his innocence. Despite the numerous obstacles we faced, your steadfast determination never wavered. I will never forget the pivotal moment when my brother, feeling desperate after 18 months of imprisonment, contemplated taking a plea deal. It was your unwavering faith in him and your persuasive arguments that convinced him to trust the process and continue the fight. Your meticulous cross-examinations and thorough investigations left no doubt in anyone's mind about my brother's innocence. Your dedication to seeking out evidence and clearing his name went above and beyond what we could have ever expected. Your personal investment of time and effort in the case truly made a difference and gave us hope during the darkest times. ______________________________________________________________________________ Mr. Gregg’s professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for my brother have left an indelible mark on our lives. We are eternally grateful for his tireless efforts and the positive outcome that he helped us achieve. We thank him for being a beacon of hope and a true champion for justice. We highly recommend Mr. Gregg as an attorney who will truly fight for you while also providing reasonable and compassionate legal representation. Mr. Gregg possesses qualities that set him apart from others in his field. He is honest, compassionate, and understanding, making him an ideal choice for anyone in need of legal assistance. One of Mr. Gregg's standout qualities is his availability and dedication to his clients. He can be reached almost immediately through his personal phone, regardless of the day or time. This level of accessibility is rare in the legal profession and demonstrates his commitment to being there for his clients when they need him the most. Furthermore, Mr. Gregg not only focuses on your legal needs but also understands the importance of considering your family's needs during challenging times. He approaches each case with empathy and a deep understanding of the impact it may have on you and your loved ones. In a field where some attorneys demand astronomical retainer fees, Mr. Gregg stands out for his fair and transparent approach to billing. It is important to note that high retaining fees do not always correlate with expertise or quality of service. Mr. Gregg understands the financial strain that legal matters can impose on individuals and families, which is why he is committed to offering reasonable and fair fees for his services. Choosing an attorney who is not only skilled in their practice but also considerate of your financial circumstances is crucial. Mr. Gregg's dedication to providing quality legal representation at a reasonable cost makes him a standout choice for anyone in need of legal assistance. If you are seeking an attorney who will go above and beyond to fight for your rights while also providing the support and understanding you deserve, Mr. Gregg is the attorney for you. I cannot recommend him highly enough for his professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his clients. Sincerely, The Martinez & Rivas Family

I went in to see Carolina to help my father with an immigration issue. He had a case from 1985 that was could have gotten him deported. Ms. Corona informed us that we can try to get the case re-opened and try to get the charges reduced. After about 6 months I just got word that the judge approved to re open the case. We are now waiting to see what will happen with the original case but she is very knowledgable and has been very helpful through out the process. I will post an update when I get one.

Johnlee solved a contract problem for me with reasonable billing. He did just what a lawyer is supposed to do by providing "a lawyer's stock in trade" which is good advice and direction based on his education and experience. I thought his extensive education in other fields was a big help as well.

Alejandro Vera is a great Estate Lawyer and Bilingual. I was looking for a Spanish speaking lawyer as my mother only speaks Spanish. After speaking to Alejandro over the phone I hired him. Alejandro has a true passion for his job. Compassion for his clients. When me and my mother went to his office he immediately asked my mother what was her first language. He spoke to my mother in Spanish and answered all my mother's questions. Alejandro has great communication skills and a willingness to listen. Alejandro did a awesome job with the Estate Will and gave me very clear instructions. I will recommend Alejandro Vera. Thank you very much.

Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Miami, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
