We recently retained Ms. Jennifer Byrom to help us navigate through a challenging divorce situation and were extremely pleased that we reached a successful outcome. Ms. Byrom has our highest recommendation. Unfortunately, the standard divorce processes are complex, lengthy and often at the mercy of the opposing counsel's strategy and actions and local court constraints. We were so lucky to have Ms. Byrom's extensive experience and local knowledge to successfully identify and clearly explain the necessary steps. By closely following her advice, we achieved our objectives in a relatively short period of time. Ms. Byrom is an empathetic, excellent listener who will work to fully understand your concerns and goals. She is direct and clear in her explanations of options and possible approaches. Being able to tie those two skills together is what elevates her above other attorneys, especially during the emotionally charged process of divorce. Plus, she clearly knows and is highly respected by her peers and other key legal contacts. We were also impressed that she recognized the legal expenses were a concern for us and to mitigate costs we often worked with her outstanding paralegal Penny Miller. Jenifer Byrom is an excellent lawyer who knows the law.She will fight for you tooth and nail.She is one of the few I have ever met who actually care about her clients. I have hired her for criminal cases that seem unbeatable but if there is a light at the end this woman will find it I would never even consider hiring another. In family law she is unmatched! So if you are looking for an advocate who will fight for your rights then look no further!

I recently retained Mrs. Byrom located in Santa Rosa County for a Dissolution of Marriage. It began as many as an uncontested divorce, after both parties retained attorneys it soon turned into contested. The first Court date (many weeks later, because the attorney’s HATED each other) the judge said that he would NEVER give the Respondent 50/50 timesharing rights, because they had previously signed most rights associated with the child. Instead of Mrs. Byrom’s office hurrying and taking care of the paperwork before the end of the year (4months) they waited & waited & waited. After the Paralegal was called and then the attorney MULTIPLE times, we got a court date into the next year and we got a new judge who had a different point of view. LONG LONG LONG story short, because of their laziness, disorganization, and lack of knowledge my child is in an unstable environment 50% of the time. Almost a year later I am still trying to be done with this process. I get a call from her letting me know that I have to pay my bill over $7,000 in FULL before she would file my final paperwork ( oh and make sure you read that little print on the contract your signing). I am single now with all the responsibilities of a family and all this hurt I have dealt with and now I have to FIND money NOW! Or it still won’t be over!!! I am not an angry person and I am not spiteful person but I don’t want ANYONE to have to go through what my family and I have. Oh and on these review sites if it looks like “fluff” it probably is!!!!! Happy Person That Has a Beautiful Child and Is Trying To Do My Best!

I was a little skeptical seeing that this was my first offense and Ms. Byrom specializes in family law---my case was criminal. I read reviews of her after paying the retaining fee....adding to the uneasy feeling i already had. However, when it came time to shine, Ms. Byrom did an outstanding job of representing me. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a knowledgeable lawyer to represent them in court. To all of the reviews saying that she is only concerned with lining her pockets, i say you get what you pay for...and in this case, i got an amazing lawyer who was extremely helpful throughout the entire experience. i highly recommend her to anyone in need of a highly experienced attorney. Ms. Byrom is the reason i got 10 months of PTI as opposed to 7 years in the slammer. I cannot thank her enough.

I was very disappointed with my experience with Jennifer Byrom. She filed my divorce papers and that was about it. My ex husband kept putting off mediation and I felt like Jennifer's office was not proactive to push things forward yet my bill kept going up. I spent 15 months without child support and got the feeling that her office didn't care. I contacted them and told them I was struggling financially without any support and they did nothing. I spent $8000 and when they told me that my retainer was all used up I made the decision to move to another attorney firm. Apparently there are many dissatisfied people with Jennifer.

I chose Jennifer Byrom thinking I was getting a female and mother who would support my daughter & I in a divorce. BOY, was I wrong the only thing she supported were her pockets. She got her retainer in full & then after not depositing the EX stating she had another appointment, yeah, getting her nails done, she did however state that she would depo him prior to the hearing, after the hearing, prior to the mediation, after the mediation, she never did. Then during mediation she ordered her lunch & also left ½ way thought to go pick up her child from school. Then as the mediation ran into 6 hrs she got a lil pissy, I guess she wanted to go home, meanwhile she never got me or my daughter anything. She was well aware that there was 10 years of domestic violence & never brought anything up. I am now having to re-open the decree in order to get the correct amount of child support & as soon as this is all cleared up I will find a malpractice lawyer to go after her. She did absolutely NOTHING for me but come to find out since we live in a small town she has done this several other times, so I am also forming a group of her former clients for a group action against her. If you hire Jennifer after reading this you’ll get exactly what you deserve. Please also go to the other lawyer review sites & you’ll see several other reviews of disgust not only from me but other who t thought she would do the right thing.
