I hired Richard Hornsby back in November for a situation I found myself in. He offered quick service, and I was able to set up an appointment to see him the same day. He payed attention to the details of my case and gave honest feed back to how it can be resolved, I was currently working on my degree in criminal justice and wanted a future in the field His feedback wasn't the best that I hoped for but he kept my future in mind and said he would try his best, and that the resolution he saw possible, would still allow me to continue in the field but would still honestly make it more difficult. My case actually got resolved the way he said it would in the first meeting. During my case he was easy to reach to answer questions, and kept me informed, was also flexible with payment plans to a point. would recommend.

We hired Mr. Hornsby to handle misdemeanor charges (battery) against me resulting from a domestic dispute. This was the first time I ever had to deal with the legal system and was scared and unsure going about this. But after talking over the phone and meeting with Mr. Hornsby, he gave use confidence that it was really a minor thing and he was 99% certain that he could get the charges dropped. He also clearly explained the fees and terms of engagement at the very start of the process. He told us that the entire process would take roughly 30 days. And after 20 days, I got an email that the charges were dropped along with steps to take in order to get the charges expunged from records. All of this was done, without me ever having to step into a court. I am now going to take Mr. Hornsby' help to deal with expungement petition. I highly recommend Mr. Hornsby to anyone needing legal assistance with their case. Please note that Mr. Hornsby is straight talking non-nonsense guy who doesn't waste time. Before you talk to him, prepare a list of points and questions that you want to discuss. If you have follow up questions or need clarification you can email him. Mr. Hornsby is a great lawyer. He is a no nonsense, straight to the point man who will get you favorable results in a timely fashion. He takes cases head on and does not require much from his clients other than to be 100% honest and to keep proper documentation of their cases so he can help in the fastest possible way. When hiring him you need to keep in mind that he is your lawyer and is a very busy man so he might not be able to answer every single call or respond to your emails within 15 minutes, but trust me, he is working his butt off to win your case. It is up to his clients to trust in him and let him work. I have used him twice because after my first case I had no interest in even considering hiring a different lawyer. Yes, he is that good.

I will only recommend Mr. Richard Hornsby if you're looking for a lawyer. When it comes to him you need to be understanding and patience. You need to understand the type of life a lawyer has. They are at times stuck in a courtroom, reading and writing documents, dealing with additional clients, waiting on legal processes, etc. While I mentioned the above, Mr. Hornsby gives his 110% and you can tell it is his passion. Once he is your lawyer, he is on the clock and does things right away. He lets you know all the steps that are being taken. He lives and breathes this life and gives his “code of honor” when it comes to defending you or others. He is blunt, no nonsense, and straight to the point because of the little time a lawyer has in a day. It is like riding a bike to him, he knows what he is doing and doesn’t need to be told what to do. He values his time and wants to please you and others. When it comes to communication, all I have to say is respect him as it is your life. If it not urgent, email him, he will get back to you with an answer that address more than your initial question. If you have another question, he will answer. If it is urgent, call him during appropriate times and he will answer everything you need to know if he is your attorney. If the call is missed, I can almost guarantee he will call you back within 2 hours. At the end of the day, remember Mr. Hornsby is a high prolific lawyer in Florida (for many reasons), and has a family that he spends little time with. With that being said, he has extreme work ethic, hunger, drive, and extreme knowledge. He will fight for you with everything he has in his arsenal and does everything in your best interest.
