My Husband renovation company was sued by a previous client of ours, while it was very challenging time we search online for an attorney; we came across Rocky Rinker and called them late that evening, to our surprise we received a call from attorney Harkins. After speaking with him and then meeting for an appointment; Boy I tell you, these attorneys fought on our behalf only to find ourselves on the winning side. I was having some issues with my sons father harassing me and not following our parenting plan. I called Rocky Rinkers office and asked for help enforcing the contract and to try to end the harassment from my ex. They told me that they would start off with a letter. My ex responded to the letter unwilling to compromise and they asked me what I would like to do. I am confused as to why they asked this if I am paying for counsel. I responded with I would like to take it to the next level, court or mediation, whatever that may be. All of a sudden, they told me they are not taking family law cases in my county anymore and they would refund me $300 out of the $1000 I paid and terminate our contract. I saved up money that I could’ve used for the holidays because I needed help fast. I feel like they took complete advantage of me knowing I was desperate. Why start on my case, work with me, TAKE MY MONEY, and write a letter if they aren’t taking cases in my county? I now have to start over with another lawyer, another retainer and I have to go through the emotional term oil of explaining my situation to a new lawyer. I’ve learned that this is a common lawyer scam called bait and switch-take my money with promise of help and counsel, make me feel confident about the case, and then drop me. I will be reporting them to the Fl BAR and I strongly recommend not using this firm, ever.

I worked for Mr. Andrews for a number of years as well as personally used his services for my own needs. Mr. Andrews excels in many aspects of law, but has truly stunned me with his diligence and passion in criminal law. I used his services to assist in fighting a ticket I was given for allegedly speeding in a school zone. Mr. Andrews was able to get the ticket thrown out with one specific question he asked to the police officer who wrote the ticket. I have witnessed him in trial on a case where the State was attempting to give a young man life in prison. He successfully proved the man’s innocence on the main charge, therefore taking the possibility of life off of the table. In addition to criminal law, any case he takes on, I have witnessed him truly caring about the client as a person. This is hard to find in this industry. Sadly, what some people don’t understand is, an attorney cannot rewrite the law, they take the law, along with applicable court rulings and make a case for their client.
