Integrity, knowledge, follow-through and overall nice guy. I ended up in jail for a violation of probation due to a new charge. He bumped up one of my court dates to the actual hearing for the charge which was monumental. While I was incarcerated he communicated with my family members to tell them exactly what was going on and relay messages back-and-forth for me. He is straightforward honest and tells it like it is I felt comfortable with him the whole time. Every time I requested to a family member that he show up at the jail he did the very next day which was very important to me as far as a comfort level. This gentleman will go very far in his career because of his knowledge of the law, his communication with his client and his strive to not treat you like a textbook open and shut case. When I chose Joe Soler I had high expectations, and he filled everyone of them I would not hesitate to hire him again. On a lighter note hopefully I won't have to hire him again for a criminal charge he does after all practice in other areas of the law.

I was told that Derek Byrd was the best criminal defense lawyer in Sarasota. They were right! I had a serious drug charge and was facing prison.
