My first experience ever having to hire an attorney and overall a good experience. They were generally quite clear on what was happening and when.
There were some times communication felt lacking but these were often during times when my attorney was also waiting on something (a date to pass, a response, etc.) Still would be nice for a check-in from time to time for new clients that don't really understand the process and are likely anxious about the entire thing.
