My daughter was charged with felony drug possession in Collier County, one of Florida's most conservative counties. She has a license for medical marijuana in the state of California but made the mistake of bringing edible marijuana to Florida during a visit. She was pulled over by a Florida State Trooper for failing to move over a lane for a Sheriff's Deputy who was parked on the shoulder at night with no lights on. The Trooper and the Deputy proceeded to intimidate her into consenting to search her rental car. She was arrested her for the full weight of the gummy bear edibles, hence the felony possession charge. I was referred to Mr. Stechshulte by my divorce attorney. Thank goodness! Every attorney I looked for online claimed to be the best and implied that they could get just about any case thrown out of court! Although Ben's main focus is on the Tampa Bay area, he agreed to take my daughter's case for a very reasonable fee. Ben was able to get my daughter's charges reduced to misdemeanor possession and she never even had to appear in court! Given the fact that she's a California resident, the travel expense would have been sizable. The final judgment was 12 months probation, no drug testing, a substance abuse evaluation, and eligibility for early termination of probation after 6 months. I don't even have words to express how grateful we are for Ben's professional expertise, his willingness to go above and beyond, and how kind and comforting he was to us throughout the nightmare of my daughter's arrest.
