There isn't a single thing we could say negative about the Jeanne T. Tate Law Firm. As a blended family, we adopted our respective children and expected both cases to be contested - a scary prospect. Erica, Kim, and Jeanne guided us through both our cases, and our fears, as if they had written the book on adoption case law. Their dedication, compassion, and work ethic is beyond reproach.

Rob fought so hard for me, my child, and the birth mom! I had a situation that was not as simplistic as some, and Rob did not give up until I held my child. He was so professional and diligent in fighting for us. His paralegal, Sue, was also excellent! Their attention to detail was amazing, and they truly seemed to care. I’d use them again hands down!

I cannot put into words how grateful I am for attorney Barbara Ginn and her paralegal Daneille Stewart. After years of battling in and out of courts, watching my (then) step-daughter suffer emotionally and mentally, we decided to go for a step-parent adoption. From start to finish, after lots of crying and communication to both Miss Ginn and Miss Stewart, it finally happened and it was over. My daughter's biological mother settled before our case ever had to go to court. It would not have been possible without them in our corner and on my side. Since 2017, and after hiring two different family law attorneys who were not very encouraging about the possibility of adopting our then 10 year old granddaughter, my husband and I found Jeanne Tate Law. Because of those prior experiences, we debated about calling, afraid of hearing more of the same.There were several complicating factors. Our granddaughter was born out of state and even though she had lived in Florida since 2011, her mother still lived out of state. This caused jurisdictional issues. Our granddaughter's father, our son, died in a tragic traffic accident in 2016. My husband and I had been awarded temporary custody by FL courts, however, we sought a more permanent placement. In Nov., 2020, We spoke to Attorney Martha Curtis at Jeanne Tate Law. She was more encouraging about the possibility of adoption. She and her paralegal, Kim Lewis were very knowledgeable regarding the issues, and what legal actions were necessary regarding jurisdicion and termination of the birth mother's parental rights. We worked with Martha and Kim for a long year, and, at times, we grew impatient and doubtful. Throughout the process, Kim was very communicative and always reassuring.Through Martha and Kim's diligence and expertise, the adoption was finalized in Nov., 2021. Our granddaughter, now 15, is finally our adopted daughter. We are thankful that we took the courage to make that phone call and are grateful to Martha, Kim and the Jeanne Tate Law Firm. It is worth hiring a firm with AAAA certification, specializing in adoption.

I can't say enough good things about the team at this office! I initially was going to try to do the adoption process on my own, but after picking up the encyclopedia-sized packet from the courthouse I decided to reach out to an attorney instead. I worked mostly with Kim, who was incredibly responsive and helpful with all of the questions I had. I also had a tough schedule to keep up with, but they were able to work around it and found the perfect court date. The whole process was so easy with their help and I'm so thankful that I didn't try to figure it all out on my own. Do yourself a favor and give them a call. -Shawn

We adopted our Granddaughter after her mother, our daughter, passed away.
