David provides an excellent service, he is always available to answer the questions and give legal advice despite the time of the day or night, trying hard to navigate through legal proceedings as painlessly for me as possible for a very reasonable cost.

Got the divorce finalized but he did NOT have the best interest for me, his client. I have been divorced for over a year now and I will be having to go back to court because the other parent is not fulfilling his obligational duties. I will NOT be using Hurvitz as a lawyer! There were times where he was rude to me, the client! He seems to be more pro-men. So if you’re a female, please please please look elsewhere. You will be throwing money away if you decide to use him as an attorney. $8,000 horribly spent.

David was unfortunate enough to represent my mentally ill husband in our dissolution of marriage. He drafted a petition for dissolution even though I'd already filed, then drafted a response full of slander, even making up a human child that didn't exist. I provided evidence to the contrary and he redrafted a considerable response. David was advised by the judge to talk to his client about perjury and safeguard himself against sanctions. A couple weeks later he and my husband filed a motion to end representation. as a pro se petitioner, I dealt with David on many occasions; here is my honest reflection: David doesn't respond in a timely fashion unless it is a matter that could reflect poorly on him, and his paralegal is almost as bad about responding. Although I believe him to be a good person and a decent man, he will make unethical, unprofessional claims or actions and during a hearing said, verbatim and I quote "the allegations made here are true, even though there is no evidence. Your honor I shouldn't have to be here, this isn't fair, I don't have any evidence." He's the type of attorney who starts flipping through his papers when he is unprepared, appearing flustered. Many of the articles in his motions are repetitive, redundant, and he will call for discovery then do nothing with it. I believe Mr. Hurvitz to be a good attorney for uncontested divorces or other simple matters, but not good at litigation, and unfortunately does not take precautions to protect himself from unsavory clients. A good lawyer for the other side to have.

I would highly recommend David to anyone looking for an attorney that is going to fight for you. My child custody was long and brutal but David was there to help and ultimately we won.
