To whom it may concern: I feel compelled to share my experience and advice on social media for the first time. Ever. This is what social media should be used for (not countless selfies and food pictures). I’ll try to keep this brief. I didn’t want to need an attorney, but I did. And I feel fortunate to have found and secured the services of Jessica Felix and her staff. Let’s start with Jessica. Smart. Pleasant. Sense of humor, but serious, direct, and worldly. She speaks crazy (aka cray cray) which is a plus in the event you are up against a lunatic or counsel who may be a bit crazy. Her staff were also pleasant and efficient (and they are an important part of the team(). Here comes the amazing part. Not only was Jessica great at what she does, but she worked to find ways to limit how much we needed her (against her own obvious financial interest). For example, she worked to try to avoid court and even mediation. And when there was work or correspondence to take care of, she offered her staff (who work for a lower rate) to do the things they were able to do, in order to save me money. In short, Jessica is not only very good at what she does, she is a very good person. She will look out for you, and take care of you, like she did me. I know this to be true. I consider myself most fortunate to have been represented by her. And should you find yourself in need of counsel, you certainly could find worse, but would not likely be able to find any better than Jessica. I am a client. Not a family member. Not a friend (although I consider her one now) or relative. This review is unsolicited and purely utilitarian. I am a physician who lives in Tampa with my family who considers himself fortunate to have found a good person and outstanding family attorney to represent me. Thank you Jessica! My wife and I went to Matt for help almost a year ago for a bitter custody battle. I feel that he was a true warrior for us. We asked him to be honest. He was honest. We asked him for the truth no matter how painful. He gave us the truth. My wife had a shield in and out of the courtroom. A couple of pointers. 1. Understand that you can’t get a call back right away. We understood that she went to the last battle. Matt gave our case full attention and it was uninterrupted. Matt never left us hanging over the weekend when a new development happened in the case. Never! 2. If you want to hear an answer you want and not the one you need to hear then don’t hire Matt. Go in to battle with a warrior that can point out the advantages and disadvantages of your case. You may not like the answer but at least you get an honest one. 3. Trust Matt, you hired him because of his experience. We felt he knew what the judges, guardian ad litem, and co-defense where going to do before it happened. Predictable. Thank you for your help. We hope and pray that this is a positive for our family that can last generations. We love you.

In short, a great attorney! Just completed nightmare 14 month financially devastating divorce. Jessica was my third attorney. Worked during the last 6 months of the divorce. Clearly works for her client’s best interests and not interested in churning the distraught client during a vulnerable time in their life. Very very bright, easily accessible, and very understanding of your circumstances. Extremely professional! Charged LESS than every other attorney and worked twice as hard! I’m sorry I didn’t start with her. I would have saved 1/2 the attorney fees that can no longer be used to benefit my children. If you need an attorney, hire her!

I essentially drew a name from a hat when I called Mark’s firm. We were extremely lucky to have an attorney that was willing to wade through a mess of complicated problems. He explained everything in detail and was very responsive. He was patient with us even when the other party was far from cooperative. We intend to return to court in the next few years and will be calling Mark to hire him again.

So very thankful I got to work with Mark and his team! They were so fantastic, incredibly helpful on guiding me through my divorce! Having an advocate and resource such as their team during that time was so very reassuring!

We had a child support modification that hadn’t been handled correctly by our previous attorney. As a result, we hired Mark and he was able to get our situation resolved in less than a month. I felt like I was Mark Baseman’s only client because he was very responsive and stayed on it until completion. If you want someone on your side that is serious about settling and staying out of trial that is Him. He is no drama but nice and professional. Very logical. What I really appreciate is him keeping me informed about cost and there were no surprises. I could make suggestions on what I thought we should do when we ran into a problem and he would logically and legally walk me through all the outcomes including cost if we pursued. He always had a cheaper solution that was better for everyone. If you are looking for an attorney that has integrity, is fair and wants to save you money that is Mark Baseman. If you are looking to get something done then you want him. He also knows the law when it comes to custody cases and can well inform you on your rights as well as the non custodial parent rights. Thank you Mark for keeping everyone in line in our case. I feel like I can move on now.
