Turns out Josh Leroy is the real deal y'all!!! Not only did he come highly recommended but his pricing was by far more than fair. However, as always, I've been a bit skeptical. But from the very start Mr.Leroy displayed his professionalism, excellence, loyalty and determination at every turn of my case. Never once did I feel alone but rather empowered by his confidence, thoroughness, and what felt like total commitment to my personal case. So if you're looking for an attorney you can trust and have complete confidence in while achieving the best possible results: LOOK NO FURTHER!!! I'm a living walking testimony of his UNIQUE GOODNESS. Josh Leroy is highly recommended!!! Respectfully, Anthony Lawson

Best Decision I Ever Made! I was strongly recommended and had the privilege of being represented by Attorney Josh LeRoy, an outstanding lawyer whose impact on my case was truly remarkable. Mr. LeRoy got me out of a bind with 2 charges on one case and one pending. From the outset, his deep knowledge of the legal landscape was evident, and he exhibited an unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for me. I was very scared, my mind is racing not knowing whats gonna happen. I had to be patient which that was very hard to do but I’m sure glad I did cause I tell you what, this remarkable man here Mr. LeRory is very honest, tuff and straight forward, he does not bullshit you nether does he gives you false expectations but what he will do is go above and beyond, investing time and effort to understand the nuances of your situation and thats what he did for me. He studies your cases before looping into action. This personalized touch fostered a strong attorney-client relationship, making me feel genuinely supported throughout the legal proceedings. In the end, the positive outcome of my case can be directly attributed to Mr. LeRoy. I am immensely grateful for his guidance, and without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone seeking a legal professional who combines expertise, strategic thinking, and genuine care for his clients. I cannot express enough gratitude for Mr. LeRoy, if I could give him more than 5 stars I most definitely would. Contact his firm if you need a criminal defense attorney. He’s the best!

Mr. Val is definitely God sent! He was in federal court to represent his client when my case was called. I didn't have a attorney. He took my case free of charge.God knew the situation I was in. And in the end I was back home in 17 months after completing my program. He explained every and anything. I didn't understand about my case. He never left myself or my family without knowing every aspect of what was going on with my case.I came home just in time to see my 1st grandchild's birth. I was fighting to not be away from my kids long. And as a husband, and father he understood that. His secretary was amazing as well. She was very kind and helpful as well. Thank You!! God bless you and your whole staff. PSA: If you are facing criminal charges and you want a knowledgeable attorney. Try Val you won't be disappointed ❤️

I was recommended to Nicole by a mutual friend in 2005 and she assisted me in a child custody matter concerning my granddaughter. I have since referred her to friends and used her myself for similar cases, real estate transactions and other legal matters, all of which were resolved better than could be anticipated. The thing I appreciate most about Nicole and that separates her from other attorneys I have used in the past is the fact that she tries to get you to work the matter out with the other party and not have you cut off communication (a tactic commonly used by other attorneys to rack up their bill). She truly cares about helping you come to an amicable resolution. However, this being said she becomes a bulldog if necessary and the case goes to trial.

Lindsay was recommended to me by my divorce attorney under pressing circumstances. Lindsay acted swiftly and worked with me on the sale of my house. Because of her due diligence she uncovered issues that could have severely impacted the closing which probably would have resulted in losing the buyer. On top of all that she saved me a considerable amount of money on the closing and which almost made her fees a wash. I cannot imagine going thorough this experience without the council of Lindsay.

Mrs. Demmery recently helped me with a complicated sale of a commercial building. It involved a difficult situation (family) that could have put the sale and then the proceeds from the sale in jeopardy. Her calm yet professional mannerisms were key to accomplishing the task at hand. She did an amazing job! It was a relief knowing that her top notch knowledge regarding real estate law was there to guide the process in an efficient manner. Additionally, the office environment is welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend Mrs. Demmery.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of West Palm Beach, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
