Mr Glatthorn took my case after other lawyers basically told me I experienced something tragic but don’t have much of a case. My first lawyer barley called me back or even seemed interested in helping me. So switching lawyers still hoping for the best I was still hesitant to trust my new lawyer (David Glatthorn). I lost my life savings from not being able to work and spent all my savings on bills. My medical bills where more then the cost of buying a new home. And I was in the process of losing my home by the time I got to Mr Glatthorn. But sitting with them and switching to there team and working with them for just a week I could see a complete difference from my first lawyer. To there professionalism, perseverance, always answering the phone and calling me back, and They’re always more then happy to answer my questions because this whole process is very foreign and confusing to people that have never experienced something like this before. I know it was for me. And Mr Glatthorn and his amazing team of paralegals are as experienced and knowledgeable as it gets. And are more then happy explaining these complicated insurance policies and any questions you might have. I wish I went to him first because by the time I got to his team I was already in the process of losing my home. But through there guidance and hard work, they got my outstanding medical bills paid. They got the right medical attention for me that I was seeking for my injuries. With more then enough money left over to put in my pocket and repair old debts from when my accident occurred. Sometimes life can take you for surprise regardless of your success and you being careful. I was in a work vehicle as a passenger and the driver fell asleep behind the wheel on the high way. I was lucky to survive but my injuries are long lasting and permanent. And will effect me the rest of my life. I’m just thankful I had David Glatthorn and his amazing team to help me through it getting me the money and medical help that I deserved. I hope these kinds of situations and tragedies happen to no one. But if they do, we are lucky enough to have people like David Glatthorn to help us through it and give us the right advice and fight for what we deserve. Which I can say Mr Glatthorn has fought hard for me since the day I came into his office and signed paper work for him to be my new lawyer. If something tragic like this was to happen to me again, or family member or close friend. Thers no other person that I would suggest then Mr David Glatthorn and his amazing team of paralegals.

I'm so happy to have found an excellent attorney like Mr. Glatthorn and his staff. I never received so many calls from an attorney like I did from Mr. Glatthorn. If I wasn't available during the week, he will do a phone conference with me on the weekends. I knew I chose the right attorney when I received a phone call on Sunday to discuss my health and injures. This is not my first auto accident. My first auto accident. My first accident, I never spoken with the attorneys or seen them until the day I picked-up my check. But Mr. Glatthorn, I talk to him ALL the time and his staff. If you want an attorney to treat you like a person and not a number, CALL DAVID GLATTHORN. I DID and I'm glad I made that choice.

I hired Mr. Glatthorn because he came highly recommended by my girlfriend's aunt. At first I didn't won't to deal with an attorney from Palm Beach County because I reside in Pompano Beach. But after I did, I was very happy with my decision and the end results. Most people complain about not speaking with their attorneys during the process of their claim, I didn't have that problem. Once every month until the settlement date of my case, Mr. Glatthorn will have either an in person or over the phone meeting with me. His staff also kept me in the loop of my case and it's progression. I was never told that I had to wait to speak with a particular person in order to get information regarding my case. All of his staff was knowledgeable with my case. If you want a professional attorney who will fight hard for you, contact David Glatthorn and his staff. I promise you that you will not be disappointed. Mr. Smith

David Glatthorn was referred to me by another attorney I knew personally, I had never been involved in an injury causing accident and had no idea what to expect. I was involved in a health debilitating accident on April 10th 2015 , he and his staff especially paralegal Sylvia walked me through the process, set expectations and followed through with all they said they would. They handled the other person's insurance litigator with expertise and deft swiftness, despite there many attempts to undermine my case and offer me a $10,000 settlement. David and his associates were having none of that despite the numerous efforts the other insurance company made I was awarded full settlement in the case.in the amount of $300,000. I highly recommend him and his team if you are considering and Accident attorney I promise you that you will not be disappointed they are friendly, professional, caring and have full knowledge of accident law. They were beyond fully competent and I cant thank them enough for what they did for me in a very trying time in my life dealing with the excruciating pain I was in.

If you want an attorney who is responsive and caring, Carlos should be your number one choice. I contacted Carlos for a consultation on employment and non-competes. He immediately lifted the burden for me and got to work. He is extremely professional He not only gave me answers right away, but assured me he would be there every step of the way. I am grateful to have him working on my case, and have enjoyed working with him so much that I know he will be my first choice attorney for life. Thank you Carlos!

I was recommended to Nicole by a mutual friend in 2005 and she assisted me in a child custody matter concerning my granddaughter. I have since referred her to friends and used her myself for similar cases, real estate transactions and other legal matters, all of which were resolved better than could be anticipated. The thing I appreciate most about Nicole and that separates her from other attorneys I have used in the past is the fact that she tries to get you to work the matter out with the other party and not have you cut off communication (a tactic commonly used by other attorneys to rack up their bill). She truly cares about helping you come to an amicable resolution. However, this being said she becomes a bulldog if necessary and the case goes to trial.

First legal relationship I ever had in 1986 with a new real estate investment and incorporating my company: since I have retained Counselor Bennett for estate planning with my parents, in-laws and my Personal family wills. He was at my wedding and my parents funerals: a family friend for 36 years!

It seems that I have known David forever. I have retained him over a number of years from time to time and been very happy with the results that he was able to obtain for me. My first experience with him as an attorney many years ago was when my father retained him to pursue a fire damage claim to our family’s seashore summer house in New Jersey. In the offseason, workmen were renovating the interior of the house and, specifically, installing a new kitchen. After they had left for the weekend, a fire started in the house in the middle of the night and there was significant fire damage. David had the moxie to retain the retired Fire Marshall for the City of Philadelphia as an expert witness who confirmed David’s suspicion as to the cause and origin of the fire. Before they had left for the weekend, the workmen had decided to have a party in the living room to celebrate the end of the work week. Along with the empty beer cans, one of the workers inadvertently dropped a lit cigarette inside the living room couch to smolder for several hours resulting in the fire. In proving the origin and burn pattern of the fire, David was able to secure a sizable and unexpected settlement from the insurance carrier for the renovation company. The latest matter that David handled for me was the administration of the estate of my late mother who owned personal and real property in the States of New Jersey and Florida. His administration of the estate in those separate jurisdictions was seamless. His particular knowledge of New Jersey income tax procedure saved me tens of thousands of dollars that my accountant was prepared to have me hand over to the tax authorities in that State. Even when the Florida estate administration became complicated by the homeowners association action to foreclose on the Florida house for alleged non-payment of HOA fees, David was able to have that matter resolved and dismissed. He is quite a talent and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I am a CPA in the suburban Philadelphia are, and have known David personally for over 50 years and professionally for more than 30 years. If I have a particularly complex estate or trust matter which may or has included fiduciary litigation, income, gift or estate taxation, and has litigation between beneficiaries, creditors or as against the Internal Revenue Service, I have David on my speed dial. Ultimately, these matters are referred to him, and our office has retained him on any number of related files. Not only a good friend by his deeds, I once had to explain to my father that the reason we were good friends was that he was and is fearless, no matter the adversary in and out of business. So it was no surprise to me when he took on the fifth largest law firm at the time in Philadelphia and beat them representing a contestant in a will contest over a several million dollar estate even though his adversaries had the advantage financially and with a far more extensive staff at their disposal. I would enthusiastically recommend him to any potential client.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of West Palm Beach, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
