Very capable representation! You never want to have to use a lawyer for what is yours to begin with, but that is what large corporations bet on.....that you will not fight for it. At 61 years old, being stricken with a serious eye condition that left me with limited eyesight was devastating. This unexpected condition left me scared, with limited function and uncertain about my future. I have been working with Dell and Schaefer Attorneys since applying for disability almost 14 years ago. As with many people with disability insurance, I had an extremely difficult time during the claims process. What many don't know is that insurance companies love to take your money when you buy disability insurance but will go through extraordinary measures not to pay claims when policy holders become disabled. Furthermore, claims examiners are expected to deny claims. It's part of how insurance companies make money - by not paying whenever possible. For me, I was followed, filmed, sent to doctors unfamiliar with my disorder, and more, all designed to prove my claim was false. With the help of my attorney, Rachel Alters, and her paralegal, Danielle Lauria, I was ultimately able to secure the first two years of my claim. After two years, my insurance company cancelled my policy - which is a standard practice used by most disability companies. Once again, I turned to Dell and Schaefer and secured my claim through to the present. Working with Rachel and Danielle has been the easiest part of dealing with my disability while fighting a multi-billion-dollar company bent on repeatedly denying my claim. Please be aware, I am not alone. Most people run into the same issues when filing for disability, however, most people don't have Dell and Schaefer to help them through this very difficult process. The people there are consistently professional, honest, hard-working, and most importantly, successful in making sure claims are paid to disabled individuals. As for me, I still have five and a half years left on claim. Anything can happen. A new claims examiner can blindly decide to cancel me or demand I prove that I still have my illness. They can choose to decide my doctors are lying, hire their own doctors to say I'm not ill, and more. I would urge any disabled person with private disability insurance to reach out to this quality law firm. They know the tactics used by insurance companies to deny claims, and work very hard to make sure that their clients receive what they are due. I don't know where I would be without Dell and Schaeffer. Thankfully, they have stood by my side. If I could give them more than five stars I would. These people truly helped me to live the best life I can while dealing with a devastating illness. If you need help, go to them first. They work across the country and know all the large insurance companies and how they operate. Don't let unscrupulous claims examiners steal your earning potential. It is rightfully yours.
