I am a member of PAGE and I was going to end my membership but as long as I can use Allen in time of need I will stay a member . After 25 years teaching special education and an untarnished and highly regarded reputation in my county, I was unjustly accused of a crime “against” a child. I was still loving my job and my students, but we had a new SSA and a new Principal who didn’t know me or my merits, and they wouldn’t give me any chance to speak to the charges before I was arrested. The first thing I did was call PAGE, and they connected me to Allen Lightcap. Since this was a situation in which I couldn’t have even imagined, I became very depressed. I was not allowed to speak to any of the faculty friends I had made over the years, and I was mortified by the thought of other friends and colleagues seeing my picture on the news and in the papers. I became withdrawn and contemplated suicide. Mr. Lightcap instructed me step-by-step in the process of getting a bond, and he offered sincere reassurance from the beginning. His kind demeanor and gentle explanations brought me back into the light, and eventually I stopped feeling like a victim and was ready to fight for my dignity! COVID put a halt on all court proceedings for over a year, when I could have easily tumbled back into hopelessness. But, I talked to and/or met with Mr. Lightcap regularly and he was always sincerely confident that we would beat this! He was right!!! As we got closer to the final calendar call for a trial date, Mr. Lightcap confidently went straight to the top and expertly negotiated all charges be dropped, and my record was restricted from viewing. Allen Lightcap is a dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate attorney who made me feel like I was important after the worst tragedy of my life, yet he was strong, dedicated and bullish when it mattered most! I would hire him again in a second. Hopefully, I won’t need to, but I know I have a new friend in Allen Lightcap!
