I used Eric Shapiro for my divorce and he did a great job. He helped make it go as quick and painless as possible. He listened to what my needs were, counseled me on the things I needed to be thinking about and at the end of the day made sure that all the boxes were checked, so I would have piece of mind that everything would flow the way it needed to. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation where you are getting divorced, I would highly recommend using Eric.

(Liggett) Eric was a true professional. The advocacy he shows for his clients goes above and beyond what the average attorney will do for you. I was thoroughly impressed by his attention to detail and knowledge of case law. He used this several times in arguing my case and ultimately gave us the upperhand. He will be my attorney of choice for all referrals as well as future family litigation that may be necessary.

Check the Georgia Bar for many complaints , read the reviews here, and avvo. You will find that this is not a good lawyer. He will take your money and run. He lost me custody of my child after I paid him $1000's in retainer fees only for him to forget to file key paperwork in time. He will sweet talk you to pay his fees and then become impossible to reach. I completely regret hiring him .

Avoid Family Lawyer Eric Shapiro To call this attorney a shyster would be an insult to shysters everywhere. Eric Shapiro has no office rather he works out of a shared co-working space. He has no associates. He was cited by the Georgia Bar and promised to hire employees to help manage his disorganization. I hired him as a cheaper alternative to the "Atlanta family law mafia" but in the end I got exactly what I paid for. When we got to the court, the judge called him within the first five minutes of opposing counsel's opening arguments because he was texting. Here's an excerpt from the transcript. You decide who is telling the truth. THE COURT: MR. SHAPIRO, ARE WE BORING YOU? SHYSTER SHAPIRO: NO, YOUR HONOR. I'M JUST TAKING A NOTE FOR, ... INVESTIGATING SOMETHING (OPPOSING COUNSEL) MENTIONED. NOT AT ALL. THE COURT: GO AHEAD. Again, this was within five minutes of the hearing starting and opposing counsel walking through the petition - that Eric Shapiro actually remembered to bring. Read the reviews ... you can tell the ones he wrote himself. He has many clients that have had the same issues over the years since he was sanctioned by the state bar.

Eric is a fantastic attorney. He has helped me get through contempt hearings and a child support modification with great results. He's fair and will not run up the bill. I trust him completely.

Big Fraud! Dont fall in his trap! Would take the entire fee at one go and never respond back to your phone calls.

Do not trust this guy at all. He took advantage of me when I was going through a difficult time in my life and did not understand how the law works. He's resorted to writing his own five star reviews. He will ask you for your income and then base his retainer on what you say or how much he can get out of you. He will then start over charging you until your retainer is depleted. He did not help me in my court issue at all and made it worse (please contact me if you want to know more details). As others have said, check out the reviews with the bar and go somewhere else. There are plenty of better lawyers in Atlanta/Dunwoody who will not take advantage of you.

Great location and closing was a breeze!

Best closing attorney we've experienced. Just had to have Sam' Maguire's office pull up info on a two year old closing to clear up problems with a current closing and they did it in minutes.

I highly recommend The Law Office of Sam Maguire. The support staff that Sam Maguire has assembled to assist buyers and sellers is phenomenal...so efficient and professional. I will continue to use Sam for all of my real estate needs.
