If you need a lawyer that takes your interests seriously, look elsewhere. If you're just looking for a nice office in a convenient location to sign papers in and don't mind paying a premium for it, maybe Brian Douglas is a good fit for you. I retained Brian Douglas for 2 things related to my late mother's estate. The first piece was completed by the lawyer I initially consulted with and although it cost a little more than I was told initially, I was generally happy with the result. When it came to the second piece of business my case was transferred to a new attorney (the first attorney had left the practice). The new attorney didn't agree with the advice I was given during my consultation so she refused to work on what I had retained the firm to work on. That's fine, maybe I was given bad advice initially. However, she took it upon herself to work on things I didn't ask or want her to that was of no benefit to me. And of course, charged me thousands of dollars for it. I tried to contest the charges. I called the office repeatedly. I was never able to get through and my calls were never returned. After about a dozen attempts I was finally able to speak with someone in accounting. I was told that only Brian Douglas could approve to waive the charges. The accountant setup two phone appointments for me to meet with Brian to discuss and Brian was a no-show to both. About a month later I got another bill from Brian Douglas. Evidently they had filed a Motion to Withdraw as my representative to the court "due to client unresponsiveness". And of course they had charged me another couple of hundred dollars for that. Please don't make the same mistake I did by hiring Brian Douglas. They are not at all interested in listening to you or fighting for your personal interests, they are just going to push you down a path of least resistance and charge you a ton for it.

From Day 1 working with them, they were so helpful and setting up everything in my Will. They are a world class organization that I'd highly recommend for any needs you might have. To be honest, Nickel and Dime you type of relationship, will only contact you close to your court date, if your case isn’t all that important don’t expect to represented! Came highly recommended by old colleagues sad to say I regretted utilizing their services!
