Ruthann updated my will which she originally did seventeen years ago. She answered in detail about 25 questions regarding my son who has special needs. At this time in my life I needed a caring, experienced attorney who could calm my fears about my son’s wellbeing as I age and after my death. She gave me direction and resources to make the process easier for me. She and her staff are professional, accommodating and are a pleasure to work with.

The consultation and document presentation was complete, concise, and left no questions unanswered. I was given the opportunity to make changes, additions and deletions with consultation as necessary. Very thorough and professional thru all aspects of the process. Very pleased with the results!!

Supposedly free consultation extended so that we paid quite a bit for limited advice telling us which documents we would need. Then there was the cost of the actual documents (in advance), which had typos which she would not correct. She was not at all responsive and her staff was not professional.

We are so Grateful for Ruthann and her expert knowledge in assisting us to prepare our Wills, Durable Financial Power of Attorney and Durable Advance Directive for Health Care. Ruthann and the staff were very quick in answering our questions. We would recommond Ruthann to our friends and family, they did an excellant job.

Ms. Lacey was friendly and personable at our conference. The documents were error-free and thorough. JR and other staffers were friendly and responsive. I could not have been happier with our experience.

Ruth is compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and will do anything to protect you. I was cheated by a crooked lawyer who left us vulnerable to financial ruin. He spent 15 minutes with us for $5000, she spent 5.5 hours with us to correct the mistakes he made and do the work he said he would but didn't. She answered all our questions, he would only say "your covered." Be careful of referral sites. We got her name from a retirement place and nursing home. Unfortunately, there are too many crooked lawyers out there who only want your money and don't care if you lose your life savings. If you are elderly and disable, like us, you are a prime target for a lawyer who practices in Augusta and Conyers Geogia. Get multiple references, as websites can't thoroughly check out all the crooks.

We have been very much pleased with Ms Lacey's work and advice in setting up a trust for our disabled adult son/stepson. We had long since learned that he was not eligible for disability even though he was born with defects which had contributed to the difficulty, simply because he had worked until growing physical problems made further work impossible ten years ago, and because we had been able to support him since. MS Lacey counseled us about setting up the Special Needs Trust, which will help considerably if it can (as we hope) make him eligible for SSI and Medicaid. It is an ideal solution for us since we can still continue to contribute, within manageable limits, to his care and support. Robert has reviewed the document and is also pleased with it and its provisions.

I was referred to Ruthann Lacey to prepare estate planning documents. I found Ms. Lacey very helpful and pleasant to work with. She offered many suggestions and answered all my questions. Her office staff is also very helpful, and all the phone calls and visits were efficiently handled. I am very pleased with Ms. Lacey and her office staff.

Thank you Ruthann and JR for helping us achieve guardianship of our mentally handicapped & autistic adult son. He cannot advocate or care for himself in any way, so it was very important to establish our guardianship to protect him now and in the future. I know some say we could do it on our own, but the fact is, we couldn't. We tried, but the process was overwhelming and we found ourselves putting it off for several months. It was the right decision for us to turn it over to you. You knew exactly what needed to be done and were prompt about doing it. You kept us informed every step of the way. And on court day you were there to support us in the kindest, most professional way. It was worth every penny we paid to get this done right. And now my son will be protected by having his parents formally recognized as permanent guardians, to prevent him from unscrupulous persons who would seek to take advantage of him.

My husband and I went to see Ms. Lacey with some very specific questions regarding my mother's affairs. She was thorough in answering our questions, addressed issues that may arise in the future,and educated us about the eligibility requirements of Medicare and Medicaid. We walked out of our meeting with a task list, and good, solid advice. She was so helpful and we will not hesitate to call upon her again!
