I feel like the bad review was posted by someone who either didn’t have a case or was not listening to advice being given. Mackenzie did a great job for us and was always upfront and direct about our options. It was expensive but it was definitely worth the money we spent, as we tried a cheaper attorney once and deeply regretted it. We never lost with Mackenzie and our case was a very unusual one. She did a great job. Custody cases are always difficult and emotional but attorneys are supposed to be professional and she was, and we always got prompt responses through email which was our main communication with her.

I cannot say enough positive things about Tore Beal Gwartney and her staff! By far the best decision my husband and I ever made was moving on from our previous attorney and retaining Tore even it meant only having her represent us for the last 2 months of our case. I just wish we had done it much sooner! Tore is smart, level-headed, honest, direct, and always made us feel heard. She listened to our concerns and made us feel that she truly cared about the outcome. Tore provided us with something that you cannot put a price tag on...peace of mind. I cannot tell you what that meant to us and we do not regret one dollar that we paid to Tore and her staff. Every person we spoke to at Cosho Law was kind, understanding, professional, and on top of our case. We never waited long for responses to questions and were able to get through to Tore or one of her staff members easily via the phone. Tore even took the time to invest in our future and the kids’s future beyond the court case by recommending different approaches or people we could speak to help us move on from the stress and emotional trauma of a custody battle. We would highly recommend Tore to anyone who is needing counsel for anything relating to custody or divorce. I called to obtain services because I used to work in the building so I always thought they were nice great attorneys. The woman who answered the phone "who were you referred to" she asked two times before I could finish talking. I never was able to continue the conversation. I wasn't referred by anyone I tried explaining I used to work in the building. She never let me finish with a third "who were you referred to". I would never obtain services from an attorneys office who can't even listen to a person calling, can you imagine.

Matthew Bonn is very impressive in the court room. He is the best in my opinion.

Mackenzie is generally unprofessional in how she conducts her business. Billing hours is the only thing she seems to care about. Conversation between client and attorney goes something like this, she talks over her clients, raises her voice, interrupts others, leading her client to believe that their concerns, thoughts and feelings don't matter at all to the case, after all it's all about her. I get the feeling she genuinely enjoys listening to herself talk while her client struggles to get a word in. I always felt like she was missing the point during my entire custody case. Also, I expected her to demonstrate more confidence in her ability to negotiate even argue my case if needed; instead I watched her delay things with slow correspondence and she even failed to give deadlines to opposing counsel when presenting offers so we ended up waiting for weeks never knowing if we'd ever get a response. Her strategy seems to be ignore and delay and it will go away! Huge waste of money, eventually we settled out of court and I wrote the firm a fat check for $20,000.
