Lisa Schoettger is a wonderful attorney. We hired her to help us with a very complicated case involving foster care across two states. She is brilliant and dedicated. She is strong and remains calm, even in very difficult situations. She knows the law. She is creative. She advocates for the best interest of the child -- even when the rest of the system doesn't. She took time to get to know us. We could feel she was invested in our case -- that she cared about the outcome in a deep and personal way. This meant the world to us as we tried to navigate a heartbreaking situation. Lisa is also very responsive -- she responds to emails quickly; she files all required documents on time; she works late when needed; and she kept us informed about the process, deadlines, court proceedings, and strategies. She is a clear communicator -- another gift during a difficult time. We would definitely hire her again -- though we hope next time it's for a happier reason, like an adoption. She was able to take a fairly complex custody situation and break it down into simple terms I could understand. She did not let the other attorney push us around and every step of the way she was efficient at dealing with the insanity. The other lawyer was trying to get away with things during the whole case and she shut that down every time. It went very well and I will use her for any case involving my children or family law type matters. Through this case she has earned a client for life. I could not appreciate her more. Lisa is a great listener. She took a great amount of time on my case. She made sure she had all the facts in order before we went to court. My case was over a year long and even over a year into it she was as passionate about it as she was when I first hired her. My case was a mess with a lot of people involved. This never seemed to bother her. She is always on top of everything. She is easy to talk to. She is very professional. Her assistant is always there to help if Lisa is unavailable. When I came to Lisa for help I thought I would never see my kids again. I had no hope. Lisa turned this around for me. I recommend her to anyone I know that is looking for legal advice.
