This was my first and only experience hiring a law firm. The purpose was to apply for Medicaid on my husband's behalf, who was, at the time a resident in a nursing home. Applying for Medicaid in the state of Illinois is an extremely involved process. I had zero knowledge of how to go about tackling this overwhelming task. All the staff at Law Hesselbaum were friendly, efficient and professional. In particular, Bonnie Stinson. Bonnie was the individual who took charge of the Medicaid application process. From the very beginning to the end of the process, a year later, I had complete confidence in Bonnie's expertise and vast amount of knowledge of the snarl of the whole Medicaid system. She provided me with the details of exactly what I needed to do on my end of things. There was a literal tome of documentation that needed to be collected. We were in contact either via e-mail or phone calls two to three times a week. I had many questions and concerns. Bonnie consistently answered my questions and addressed my concerns, always in a timely manner. I greatly appreciated all of her generous support, her professionalism and her kindness while going through this long, arduous, emotionally draining process. In my opinion, no one could have done a better job in securing Medicaid acceptance for my husband, than Bonnie Stinson. She will forever be appreciated by me and my family. Thanks Bonnie!!

The team at Law Elder Law, especially Bonnie, were wonderful with aiding us navigate our mother through the Medicaid process. Her response to inquires was very timely and she was on top of the process from prior to through the time our mother transitioned to Medicaid. In addition, she was very helpful with dealing with any and all issues subsequent to our mom's passing. I would highly recommend using their services to assist with elder legal issues.
