Estate Planning is up there on the list with going to the dentist and having a hangover - both of which I have experienced on more than one occasion. Add the complexities of a business, domestic partnership, and existing trusts and now you have a recipe for disaster . . . at least that's what I thought until we met Diana Law! My Husband and I walked into the offices of Law Elder Law / Law Hesselbaum LLP and were immediately greeted by not only the receptionist, but Diana Law as well. Within moments we were in a conference room, laughing, sharing family stories, and addressing all of our fears. (It is not easy discussing what happens when you die) Every question had an answer that was backed with an example of how and why to handle that particular fear or concern. Diana Law, along with this law firm really helped with all matters concerning the elder law issues that I was faced with to include the ramifications from my father’s Alzheimer’s, the sale of my parent’s home and the tax consequences of that sale. Once I found out what was happening with my father I contacted the firm and they took a very proactive approach which helped guide my position from the start of this dreadful disease. During a very stressful and emotional time, I felt very comfortable with this firm and Diana in particular. After researching Eldercare Law in my area and consulting with several attorneys, I found that every other practice paled in comparison to Law Elder-law/Law Hesselbaum . Have been talking about an estate plan with my wife for some time. After carefully reviewing recommendations determined that Law Hesselbaum was the best around and it was a great decision. The whole process was painless and straightforward. In 2 short meetings everything was taken care of. Just needed to bring in a few documents and email over a few others. On the second visit signed everything and they take care of the rest. From my understanding when talking to other people they really are going above and beyond other Estate planning firms do take care of the back end stuff like contacting your banks etc... Will definitely be referring others to Law Hesselbaum.
