I write this review with a glowing heart. Stephanie reprensented my son in a domestic battery case. Stephanie was professional , focused , calm and very knowledgable regarding the law. Stephanie presented all the facts and was able to prove all the lies being told. The jurors only deliberated less than 10 minutes because Stephanie presented them with factual evidence. Not lies. Even when you are telling the truth you need someone like Stephanie Wong on your side. I could never Thank her enough. Highly reccomend Stephanie Wong Robin

Worst Possible Lawyer I noticed a previous negative review by someone named John has been deleted. I suspect my review will also be deleted in the near future. If you want a prosecutor for a defense attorney, Wong is the way to go. Soon after I hired her for $14,000, in May 2017, she began the old "gloom and doom"" act which became obvious that she was determined to scare me into a plea bargain. Her conduct was unethical to say the least.. The only action she took in my case was to file a couple of motions and attend a motion hearing in October 2017. Her conduct in that motion hearing made it clear that she was unethical. She did nothing to prevent some very inflammatory testimony. She obviously deals in plea bargains. She represented a Sarah Mellor in the killing of her husband during an argument in October 2016. She convinced her to plead guilty to second degree murder. She is now serving 8 years in prison. No jury would ever convict her of second degree murder, involuntary manslaughter at the worst. Immediately following the October hearing I hired another attorney and fired Wong. Although she did nothing to defend me, she refuses to refund any of her $14,000 fee, If anyone wants additional information please contact me.

I had an embarrassing situation that turned serious and Stephanie did not judge me. She cared about my case, worked hard on it and I ended up very happy with the results.

Stephanie Wong is a special kind of person. Not only is she the best attorney in the county, she is also a great person who cares about her clients. Other attorneys look at clients as a paycheck; stephanie is not that type of attorney. She feels empathy for the people she defends, and puts in a lot of time and research to make sure she can help her clients to the best of her ability. In the court room she is fierce! The amount of respect that judges and other attorneys give her says it all. If you are in trouble and you need an attorney there is no one better.

Stephanie Wong is a very knowledgeable and capable attorney. She responds quickly and confidently to all questions by phone or email. She is honest and straightforward in handling legal situations. I have zero reservations in strongly recommending her.

I recommend not hiring her. As my defense attorney for a period of five months, Stephanie Wong failed to provide competent and ethical representation. Her actions and statements led me to conclude that she was using fear tactics to steer me toward a guilty plea, and was attempting to protect the people that were involved in a trumped-up false arrest including an illegal search of my residence, and another illegal search and seizure of firearms in my home. Following a motion hearing on 10/2/2017 where her unprofessional and unethical conduct finally convinced me that I could no longer have her represent me, I fired her. Wong then filed a motion to withdraw as my attorney and was heard on 10/23/2017. I requested a refund of the $14,000 fee and she responded that there would be no refund. I requested. I filed a request with The Chicago Bar Association Committee on Professional Fees asking for help in recovering the fee. She responded to them that she refuses to pay a refund and will not refund the fee and declined to participate in their program.

Just want to say Wong has helped me twice in my life, she is amazing. She gets the job down. She pretty much saved my life.

My experience being represented by Stephanie Wong was nothing less than perfect. She truly cares, not to mention highly intelligent and I was taken for a lot of money with previous attorneys and finally I found Stephanie. It's amazing she still checks in on me and asks how everything is going and how my son is doing. In my opinion; with defense attorneys; there is no better than Stephanie. Stephanie is a unique individual/one of a kind that knows her way around the system and will fight for what's right. She believed in me and fought like no other. If you ask me.
