Unfortunately three years ago I had a very unpleasant experience here. After initially contacting the firm to seek representation, I received a return call from a lawyer from the Clifford Law Offices who introduced himself as Judge——. He agreed to meet with me to discuss my case even though he indicated it was rare for the firm to take an employment discrimination case. I arrived for my initial appointment on time only to be greeted very rudely by a receptionist who could not find my appointment listed and refused my request to wait or come back later in the day to meet with Judge— or reschedule although it would have required another trip downtown. Why did I choose Clifford Law? As a DePaul Law alum (99), I had heard good things about the firm from law faculty. As a lawyer, I was unimpressed by the intake process especially given the time sensitive nature of my legal issue and underwhelmed by the rudeness and ineffectiveness of the lawyers/staff. I regret having to suggest a potential litigant find another law firm. There are far more responsive and professional firms in Chicago.

Had a great experience working with Mike. He’s knowledgeable, experienced, helpful and generous and most importantly very honest. I highly recommended him as an attorney!

Mike Leonard represented our Medical corporation in an extremely complex commercial litigation where the odds were unfavorable to our cause. He navigated the litigation with deft touch, first neutralising the many disadvantages that pre-existed in our case and then pressing on till we prevailed.
