I used her about 15 years ago and based on the recent reviews things haven’t changed. Do NOT use this woman for ANYTHING. She solves absolutely nothing and just finds ways to draw out cases rathe than end them. She drew my divorce out 18 months then I finally fired her - In front of a judge that Susan didn’t even show up to the hearing for. I was trying to get a divorce and a move away and what she couldn’t accomplish in 18 months I accomplished in ONE hearing (AND won on my own). Don’t waste your money on her unless you like just throwing it in the trash cause that’s all you’re going to get from her.

I decided not to hire her and she kept most of my money. She had me to make copies of a lot of paperwork that she was supposed to do. Very unorganized and speaks to staff and clients as if they're beneath her. She hadn't done anything on my case...I was gathering the documents but she still kept my money I put down on my case..out of over $2000...I got back a little over $100. She's a crook with no respect for people.

I would give no stars but that isn't an option she likes to hike up the bill and do nothing if you call and even talk to her secretary $75 a call and then she will tell you she has gotten your child support stop and then it still keeps coming out of your check and then you call payroll and get it, stopped yourself a

if zero Stars was only an option Doesn't listen took over 3 calendar years to settle a simple child custody/visitation case before/ during & covid has repeatedly lost information and had me answer the same questions over and billed me for it I had to tell her at two separate office visits I wanted child support we did win the case but butt she couldn't seem to get my child the money that he was owed because I owed her a money at that point im under a financial strain now if she would have just done what I asked her to begin with I wouldn't owe a massive amount of money I give the same exact information to public aid and they got my child a check / and now I am losing a portion of the 3 years x4 children back child support and current support for 1 child to the state of IL and I'm still expected to pay three to four times of what the initial retainer fee cost . Maybe I should take the Advice from other reviews and just right a letter to the state bar + a few FOIA request's to Springfield /Chicago & Missouri

Wanted a 3600.00 retainer to basically write a letter. $300 per hour. She doesn’t listen to a word you say. She and her husband are arguing in the background while you are on the phone with her. A two hour long conversation that could have been 30 minutes.

1 Star is too generous. Run, run, run away as fast as you can. Made an absolute disaster of my Father’s Estate. Talks over everything you say especially if it’s a complaint. Offered to come to his house due to him being severely sick, to sign for a notary signature. Failed to tell us it was a $300 charge. The library is free. My Sister called 3 times to ask questions. Our estate was charged $150 per phone call unknowing to her. When I called to complain about extra charges the secretary Mary said ‘why do you care? you’re not paying for it’. Can you imagine hearing that after your Father saved his whole life for that money and died. Yes, the whole family paid for it. I have no idea how she has been able to stay in business this long. I am filing a complaint with the board. Anyone else with these problems should do the same. No one needs this extra burden after losing a loved one. Dishonest, greedy, incompetent, unemotional, detached, arrogant, I could go on and on. I am so saddened that I have had to deal with this for so long after losing one of the most important people in my life.

The only thing she got us was extra summer time visits. No decision making, no nothing. She has double charged us for court dates, had us served due to her suing us while I was in labor with my 2nd daughter. She falls asleep on the phone, doesnt reply to emails or phone calls when its regarding her own mess ups. She blatantly lied to us about filing documents then sent us a bill for them anyway. This firm is a complete joke. She charged us $15,000. We have already paid $6k, and somehow our bill today was for $15,330. Please please run fast. Do not hire this firm, specifically susan.

I put a retainer of $500 to write a letter and have a few conversations. First, she will tell you everything she thinks and will not listen to anything you say and constantly interrupts or says, stop! Stop! STOP! Listen to me. Second, she took it upon herself to make negotiations on my behalf and gave all details she asked me for and told me I had no choice but to take it and cost me thousands. She made an agreement with the other party to handle documents on their side yet she kept billing me with the notion that they will be billing the other part in the end. When the closing was complete, she didn’t charge the correct amount back to the other party and I was expected to pay the remaining $489, totaling $989 for writing one letter and having 3 conversations. This took her 1.75 hours. At $300/hr, that is $525. I paid it because it was just a ew hundred dollars, just to be done and was thankful that I didn’t have something more complex. Also, her and her admin constantly bickers and no one has any idea at any given time where things are, the billing or what documents needs to be signed and will have you come up to sign the same documents multiple times. She texts late at night and you are always expected to be on her time. On my way home from closing, I called to take the final check by the office and the admin said she had no idea what I owed. I said I would wait for the bill to come in and pay it. They then call me a week later, still never seeing the final bill to pay it same day and she would be waiting. I would not recommend.

To bad 0 stars isn't an option. She didn't do anything for me but over charge and sent another bill expecting to get paid for services she never provided. She's not worth any amount of money and should just hang it up and retire. Maybe turning her into the bar accociation might help get her out of business. Money hungry!!
