I couldn't be more grateful for the experience and outcome I had with Amy and her staff. She showed great professionalism, knowledge of the laws, and great court room demeanor. She was absolutely brilliant when my case went to trial. She asked all the right questions and phrased them perfectly to get the responses we needed without having to be vicious or callous. She definitely helped me to get the outcome that I was hoping for in the ruling. Especially since the other side was difficult to deal with the entire process. What i can't express greatly enough is how Amy kept me calm throughout the entire ordeal. Amy and her colleague Sue were always there for me answering all of my questions and making sure I went into every court date with all the information I needed. Sometimes I would call just so they would make me feel more comfortable about my situation and I could tell they genuinely cared. Amy's entire staff is great, they are very professional but at the same time very personable and down to earth. I never had a bad experience talking to any of them. I would definitely recommend Amy as an attorney, and have to a few people that were looking for one. Amy made a bad situation into something that had a silver lining in the end.

We had the privilege to consult with Amy Melton on a file review of our case. She instantly came through as being very knowledgeable with solid logistical understanding of Will County personnel. She had a clear understanding of courtroom functioning and procedures. During our consultation, Amy was empathetic, informative, and professional when explaining legal procedures and potential outcomes. While our case was complex and unique, Amy displayed great flexibility on the best strategy. She incorporated our input and offered up an approach that would be effective and economical for our situation.

I don’t write many reviews unless I feel strongly about it and this is one of those times. I am not a huge fan of attorneys, but due to difficult circumstances; I was in desperate need of a good one. After thoroughly completing my research into different family attorneys, I chose Courtney Mehta at Henderson Law Firm and I am incredibly grateful for my choice. The office is located across the street from the historical Joliet Court House building. Henderson Law Firm isn’t like the typical firms I have previously visited. The staff were surprisingly warm and inviting; it was refreshing. Courtney wasn’t what I was expecting at all. She was so much better. She is intelligent, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. She understands family court and really tries to get you the most for the money you have to spend. For instance, when she prepares a motion, she requests that you come in and complete them with her so you can ask questions and have a clear understanding of what is going on within the case; saving you valuable time and money. Although family court is a long process, she didn’t drag out court dates like some lawyers my family members have used. She worked well with the guardian ad litem to make sure each court date was efficiently utilized for the outcome that we were aiming for. I truly felt like she cared about what was going on with my family; and that alone meant everything. If you have questions, her Paralegal, Wendy is incredibly helpful. Most of the time she knew all the answers to the questions that I had, and if for some reason she didn’t, she always found out and informed me as soon as she knew. I highly suggest Courtney Mehta, at Henderson Law. If I ever have a family court case, I will not be using anyone else.

I am giving one star because I had an attorney there. I had an appointment. He took a call during my time, having me sit there for twenty minutes!!! My time is just as valuable. He could have told the receptionist to take a mssg. When my case was over. I said to myself, I WILL NEVER LET THEM HANDLE ANOTHER CASE FOR ME, ever. Twice, I had a bad experience with this law firm. Shame on me for going back a second time.

Amy is great. I had a child custody/relocation case that i had lost in 2017. I called around consulting with different attorneys and no one wanted to take my case. They said i had no chance of having it reopen. When i contacted Amy she was unsure as the others were but still decided to take a chance. Well it worked out in the end for me. Amy fought my case for 2yrs and we won. The long journey was worth it and i'm happy she didn't give up on me. I can honestly say Amy fought for me and my daughter and i won in the end. She really cares about her clients. She will work with you and i had fallen on hard times. Amy and her assistant Sue are great. Believe me my case wasn't easy and i know it made her have a few headaches lol. For my first time hiring a lawyer i had a great experience. I give Amy Melton law 5 thumbs up. If your looking for a great family lawyer she's it. And the pricing was reasonable as well. I will use her again for future cases. I'm big on reviews and surveys and i highly recommend her. I hired Amy to pick up the pieces of my divorce and to represent me for my college age daughter‘s college expenses Illinois support laws can be very difficult to understand if you’re not an expert we soon found out after going to court a few times that we hired the right person Amy was always prepared very well-versed and knowledgeable of the laws that would pertain to my case I always thought Amy was very well measured and out in front of any situation that may arise she is very sharp my wife and I got to know Amy a little bit over the five years we required her services And got to know a working mother that was able to keep many plates spinning at the same time and make it look easy I found out at the end of our case that the judge And Family Court would be retiring and I thought Amy would be perfect for that job because she’s compassionate and understanding of both sides of Family Court situations that can be very difficult if you’re looking for this kind of lawyer do yourself a favor whatever her retainer fee Pay it sign on the bottom line and higher one in Will County is best attorneys

I used Whitney to finish up my divorce. A very painful divorce I have to say. Her attention to detail, quick responses to my questions, and ability to articulate for me were phenomenal. She was amazing and I could not be happier that I used her. This is coming from someone who had a previous attorney in this process and many friends going through recent divorces as well with different attorneys.

Angela and her team are amazing. She is very dedicated to her work and community. With my case for child support, and to notify our current order , she sat and listened to the needs and wants for my child. She worked with the other lawyer so both parties had equal say. Prices are reasonable with Angela. If you are deciding to use her, use her!She is the best!
