Title: Disastrous Legal Representation: A Cautionary Tale Do not let the stars fool you. We hired him based on the stars, and he is nowhere near a 4-star level; more like a 0-star level. He had 44 reviews when we hired him, then someone gave him a bad review, and then he miraculously had 88 reviews in a very short time keeping his average at 4 stars. In my recent experience with Borsberry Law Offices, I encountered incompetence that I never thought possible from a legal representative. In fact, I’m not sure his actions were not intentional. From start to finish, my interaction with this lawyer was nothing short of a train wreck, leaving me feeling betrayed and out of pocket. First and foremost, the issue of financial exploitation cannot be overstated. Not only did Joe Borsberry fail to represent me competently, but he also charged exorbitant fees for services that were either subpar or non-existent. I was led to believe that communicating primarily with his paralegal would save costs, only to find out later that this was a ruse to get me to hire his firm. The paralegal would simply transfer the call to him (he consistently had not had a chance to read the emails yet), leaving me in perpetual frustration and confusion. Moreover, the sheer negligence in handling essential guardianship and adoption paperwork is inexcusable. We were charged for preparing and filing documents that were never submitted, leading to dire consequences for our case. I did not find out he had not filed the paperwork until we fired him and hired a new law firm, and he had the audacity to bill us for letting him go. The pinnacle of disappointment came during our court proceedings, where Joe Borsberry demonstrated a shocking lack of preparedness. His flippant dismissal of our loss as “the judge sure screwed you" speaks volumes about his inability to accept responsibility for his shortcomings. To add insult to injury, witnessing him engage in idle chatter with opposing counsel further underscored the sense that my case was trivial to him. In hindsight, it is abundantly clear that entrusting Borsberry Law Firm with my legal matters was a grave error. His incompetence and disregard for his client's interests have left me emotionally drained. If given the chance, I would implore anyone considering his services to look elsewhere for competent and ethical representation. I regret he ever took our case.

We recently obtained counsel from Mr Borsberry and he was VERY helpful and took great care of us as clients. If we ever need to obtain legal services again we will definitely use him.

I would put 10 stars if I could. Mr. Borsberry was very impressive both in and out of court handled my case with the absolute best care and the lady's working in the office are fantastic i would recommend this firm to anyone without a doubt and will be continuing to use them I'm the future

Mr. Borsberry and Melissa were very easy to work with. If I had questions, I received a response quickly whether it was over the phone or through email. They explained the process as well as answered any other questions I had.

They have been so accommodating and very helpful with any questions I have had an very pleasant to talk to.

Borsberry’s office was quick to take my case after hearing the details. He told me it would be easy to represent, etc…. When it came time to actually go to trial, he didn’t have the subpoenaed evidence, was completely unprepared and failed to prepare me-ultimately not doing the job that my family and I had paid for. After the fact he had the audacity to continue to charge me. I would not suggest borsberry’s office for anything other than a public charity because it seems that’s all it is: free money for no service.

I don't know where I'd be right now if it weren't for Joe and his office staff! I was in a pickle and needed representation fast and was able to hire Joe and was able to avoid conviction.

Mr. Borsberry has done a great job, representing me during a complex divorce and custody situation. My son was in a very bad situation while living with his mother and now my son is living with me and doing a lot better. Joe is very knowledgeable in the law and is always prepared for court. Joe has given very good advice and counsel through there proceedings. I would highly recommend Borsberry Law.

I used him when my son’s father blindsided me by taking me to court. I felt super rushed and Joe said he knows the other lawyer and how she is, so pretty much I need to hire him now and get on it. Really they were friends. And after talking to so many lawyers after the fact. The case didn’t even stand in trial. It should have been dismissed 100% but no he wanted money for him and this other lawyer. He didn’t do anything for me except keep custody the same and have my child support payments decrease by a lot. Which at one point he told me I need to be paying dad. I had to figure out my own math and tell Joe no the calculator says way more that I should get. He does NOT fight for you, just charge you for any tiny email or call for you sticking up for yourself to him. My whole family cringes when we hear his name.

Joe Borsberry and his team did a great job resolving a family practice issue of mine. He worked inside and outside of the courtroom concluding in a settlement that exceeded my expectations. His fees are reasonable and appropriate. He is logical and methodical in his processes explaining all possibilities as the process progresses. I would retain Joe again if needed.
