Lynn was assigned as a GAL at my attorneys request to add one in my divorce. From the beginning Lynn prejudged me as a man and there was no looking back. She was ineffective in even portraying impartial review of what’s best for our kids. Lynn allowed false and non factual accusations to create a divide in our divorce that has severally damaged our family and our children. She has taken children from me, an involved father that did absolutely everything for my kids and placed them with their mother who allows the oldest to fail her sophomore year in high school and our second daughter 12 to be awake until 1 am on school nights on her phone. Within 5 weeks post divorce my oldest daughter (15) had been kicked out of the house to live with me for several weeks, and refused to put child emotion protecting measures into the parenting agreement. Due to Lynn’s lack of care for our children’s emotions she allowed my ex wife to introduce our 4 kids to a boyfriend within 5 weeks post divorce...just imagine the damage that does to young children’s emotional state 15, 12, 9, 9. Lynn is by far the worst GAL I could ever imagine to have her immunity. What a disgrace. I tried everything to have a quality report with her, and anytime I spoke she would over-talk me and tell me I was rude. Sorry Lynn, you’re the rude one and honestly do suck at your job. Then to make matters even worse, she tried to taint our mediator for post divorce parenting issues by telling the mediator I “was difficult”...the mediator told me this right at the beginning, I am guessing to be upfront and honest...Lynn you should try that sometime.

I’ve retained Miriam Cooper’s office for several issues with my ongoing joint custody disagreements. While I’ve never interacted with Miriam, Shawn and Brandy (who are no longer with the firm), were both incredible (responsive, detail oriented & fair). When Shawn and Brandy left the firm, I was transitioned to Helena who always responds quickly, is very thorough in understanding the past issues and court orders and always does her best to come to fair & quick resolution. Overall, I highly recommend the firm for joint parental conflict matters.
