Pretty upset with how I was treated at the firm. When I did my divorce last year, while my attorney was pretty competent and a good attorney she was highly unresponsive, which was due to her leaving the firm. I was notified 1 week before trial was set she was leaving the firm. I was completely blind sided. They had no plan but to ask for a continuance from Dec to Feb, so unacceptable. They forced me to go with my attorney to the next firm, but they kept my fee for the trial! I had to give the new firm another retainer fee. Now a year later I asked them for a quote to redo child support (my son turns 18) and they flat out refuse to give me one, despite them railroading me last year. It is a shame because I do like the flat rate business model, but probably for the best, since getting treated as a number and not a person is not what you want from your attorney.

Let me save you a lot of hassle and $150. This firm charges $150 "consultation" fee, which consisted of all of the information you can find in Google. Then, they give you a flat fee structure. In a case where we needed some help with child support enforcement, they have a 3 tiered system. The first is $1,000 to file everything. The second is $2500, which includes all of the court work that needs to be done. If the other party isn't submissive, its an additional $3,000 to fight for you. I was sold that the consultation would be a customized consultation, but the attorney didn't have any interest in looking at the divorce decree, current judgments, or run any math to help calculate if its worth the time/money. They are a huge firm. I'm sure there is value and experience in the firm in some capacity, but when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the consultation, Kelley Shaw responded back to me saying she looked at the notes and she thinks that the attorney did what she was supposed to do. She told me that Law has a lot of gray areas, and she would not refund $150.

Katie was very professional and looked out for my best interest. She would always make me aware of what could happen in certain situations and always listened to what I wanted and what I had to say. She made this stressful process as stress free as she could and kept me aware of everything that was going on. I would definitely refer my family and friends to this law office!
