Dave is an awesome attorney! My divorce was supposed to be simple and uncontested. That turned into my ex disappearing for 2 years before she signed and me not contacting Dave during this time because I wasn't sure if he could do anything. When I did contact him I wasn't even expecting a response but Dave simply said we'll transition to contested, have her served and this will be over shortly. A couple months later my divorce was finalized without issue. Dave was always available to answer any questions either through text, calls or emails and you always knew he had your back. Hopefully I don't have to contact him again for the same reason but I will not hesitate if it comes to that. The only attorney I've ever worked with that made you feel like a friend was helping you out. Highly recommend!

I found David while searching online for a reasonably priced divorce lawyer who could help me with my uncontested divorce (in DuPage county Illinois). I contacted him by email and he was very prompt in his responses, knowledgeable and personable while still being professional. He helped me throughout the entire process, explained everything very thoroughly, his price was very reasonable and he honestly just made the whole process seem much less intimidating, and much easier than I expected it to be. It took about a month and a half or so for the whole process beginning to end, which I thought was very quick! I am now divorced and using my last name again, and couldn't be happier. I definitely plan to contact him again if any other legal issues arise. I would also happily recommend him to anyone searching for a lawyer for a divorce.

Best divorce ever! Ok, my first divorce, but David was amazing. I was having issues working out dissolving my civil union in Chicago while I lived in NY. David made the process super easy, and even followed up with me when I forgot to reply to emails. The process was super fast. He has great manner, is easy to talk to, and I genuinely enjoyed my big gay divorce! He's especially knowledgable about civil unions and gay/queer arrangements, and didn't make me feel like an alien for needing an out of state civil union dissolution. Thanks so much!

Dave literally saved my life and fought to protect my son, when no one else would listen. Dave listens, asks the right questions, and illuminates reality. He understands emotions can be thick and sometimes even blinding. He will get what is important to the courts to defend your interests, in my case my son, my freedom, and my credibility. Divorce can be stressful enough for everyone involved, but when a child is physically injured by a third party, as mine was, it turns critical. No one wants to admit hurting a child, especially someone else's, and when accused of it some would even cover it up and discredit the one placing blame, as was done with me. False accusations were placed on me and law enforcement got involved threatened me, my brother, and my father, who weren't even involved. Dave worked quickly dealing with the police and the state's attorney, then went to court on an emergency basis halting their efforts against me. The lawyer we were up against had a reputation of being cut throat, having friends in law enforcement and has been practicing law in the same court house for over 20 years. I wish I had a picture of his face after coming out of the judges cambers from a per-trial he practically begged for. He was not smiling anymore, and was carrying paper work that was all but falling out of his hands. He tried to build something against me with no solid foundation. Dave buried his attempts with facts and knowledge of the law. My son lives with me, and I live with out fear of someone else's lies injuring me anymore. Dave is an amazing lawyer! I would have paid anything and he knew that, but still Dave never nickel and dimed me for every little thing he could have. He's honest on billing and is worth far more than what he charges. Uncontested is what he shoots for, but if that cant happen, I have no doubt he will fight for you as hard and smart as he did for me. Highly recommended attorney!

When some lawyers wouldn't touch my divorce, Dave Wolkowitz was more then willing to take on my situation and I never doubted him for a second.
