My husband found himself in a tough situation in Marion County. Bryan was the first call we made. He was upfront about what could happen with the situation, but he worked hard and got the charges dismissed. He was great with communication and letting us know what was going on. I would highly recommend Bryan, especially to anyone in a second chance situation. He was attentive, understanding, and got my husband the absolute best deal possible.

I referred someone close to me who was basically in a situation where he was wrongfully required to register as a sex offender. Attorney Cook methodically looked at the entire case, got old records, then transcripts, and challenged the Indiana Dept of Corrections, Indiana Attorney General, and Marion County Prosecutors office. And they backed down! We won! Cannot thank this lawyer enough. He is the BEST hands down! 10/10 recommend him to anyone and everyone!!!!

Attorney Bryan Cook defended my son he worked his case for nearly 2 years fighting at each opportunity for him. In the end, he saved him from prison on extremely serious charges. He guided him throughout the process and would always return his calls and answer any questions that he may have had. You can tell that he actually cares about his clients and always gives them his best. He is not a typical lawyer. Mr. Cook genuinely cares about the well-being of his clients. My son was very fortunate to have him as his legal defense in this in saying that we can now look forward to him being home for the holidays as well as being home with his family.

My father was dealing with many health issues including dementia. My mother could no longer take care of him by her self and needed to get him in a treatment facility. Slater Law office was recommended to us. I can not thank you enough for everything you helped us with. I appreciate how easy you made the entire process. We felt comfortable with you and your company from our first meeting and would recommend your services for anyone having to deal with elder law issues. My father recently passed and you continue to help with issues that we are dealing with now. Rich and Valerie are awesome!

I really can't say enough about Mr. Rich Slater. In January of 2019 I lost my sister and during the worst moment of my life I was reaching out for anyone that could help me though a process I've never endured. I needed someone to notarize some papers for me and was given the name Rich Slater. Mr. Slater ended up being a God send, he not only notarized the documents but also helped me throughout the process of being over my sisters estate, for which I had no knowledge of how to proceed. He was available for all my questions, to give advice on how to proceed with moving my mom from one facility to the next, I could go on and on about Mr. Slater and still not cover the blessing he was to me and my family. If I could give him 100 stars I would. Thank you Rich!!!

I was referred to Mr. Cook after my Marion County public defender had my case for a year or so and wanted basically for me to agree to be sent to prison.Cook filed a motion to suppress and used that as a negotiation item with the State. He also gave me specific guidance on how to get help for addiction issues. I had two previous dealing convictions and was being charge with a F2 dealing control substance and was eligible for habitual offender. The judge listened to all the good things Cook proved to her about me at sentencing. I got 14 yrs home detention my mandatory minimum was 10 yrs and the Marion County Prosecutor wanted me in prison. Russ Mcquaid with Fox News and CBS did a story “City Leaders upset after armed drug felon gets 14 years Home Detention” with my picture. Mcquaid never reached out to me or Cook for comments and the story left out 90% of evidence introduced on my behalf by Cook. This story made statewide news all the way up to Chicago. I am really happy and thankful for this attorney, a fair judge who listened to the true things my lawyer proved to her with evidence, and for my sobriety. Some people do deserve second chances, and Mr. Cook believed in helping me start my life over in a great way.

I was charged with felony F6 criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and Possession of marijuana as a class a misdemeanor. The Speedway Police Department went way overboard arresting me, and the citizen who reported me and others was out of line. Lawyer Bryan L. Cook came into the case and quickly filed a motion to dismiss the vague firearm charge. The judge made the Marion County Prosecutors office be more specific. Cook pinned down the cops and the civilian accuser at depositions where he took their taped statements. A Deputy prosecutor finally came to his senses and dismissed the firearm count a few days before a jury because Cook made it legally impossible for the State to win. Cook then, without agreement from the State, obtained conditional discharge on the marijuana case which resulted in complete dismissal. Cook always showed up to court on time or even early, he spoke up to the judge and repeatedly gave the deputy prosecutors a hard time about the case every time our case got called.
He promptly told me about any changes in court dates, and explained what his legal wrangling meant to me and my case. When he spoke in court, everyone stopped and listened. He made it entertaining but also almost educational and for sure informative. He is the BEST lawyer on the planet!

I was falsely accused in Clinton County of attempted murder, aggravated battery, confinement , and other charges. I am from Pulaski County. Mr. Cook got the attempted murder count dismissed before trial. We went to trial on the remaining, serious felony charges. It was 3 days of Cook putting the hammer to the State with a chief deputy prosecutor that had never lost a case to my understanding. Cook cross examined the witnesses like a charging bull. We won with NOT GUILTY on all counts. Several jurors found us outside afterwards, hugged us, and asked where I found my attorney. Awesome outcome!

I saw Attorney Bryan Cook hammering a Special Prosecutor in a case where he represented a former Indiana State Trooper and elected Pulaski County Sheriff. Cook won it all. I knew I had to hire him to help my son who had been given what I view as bad legal advise from a Jasper County attorney. My son was wrongfully convicted of a major felony sex offense and put on lifetime registration. Cook did a PCR, had a trial, methodically tore apart the State's case in Jasper County. It was clear the Judge and even the Deputy Prosecutor respected him. Ultimately, Cook got the State to agree to vacate the conviction and undo the lifetime registration. He worked hard on this very complicated case. He kept us informed and has a court room demeanor that really is fun to watch. At times he is humorous, at times aggressive and all times he knows more about the facts and law than anyone in the courtroom. Juries love him! I don't know what we would have done without him-way better than any attorney I've ever hired or watched

I was unfairly charged in Hamilton county with 3 battery counts and the State was resisting giving me a diversion agreement. Mr. Cook found a case that required that an alleged victim cant veto a diversion agreement as the sole basis of denial. He fought for me on and on and on. He pointed out to the State several felonies committed by one alleged victim on video from the scene. . . Because of his efforts my entire case will be dismissed. I really appreciate how aggressive he was defending me. I highly recommend him!

I was facing mandatory jail time in a dui case . Attorney Cook filed a motion to suppress evidence challenging the stop. He went after the cop for changing his story-- used his words against him-- quoted an appellate case to the judge that he had won 17 years ago under not totally similar circumstances but logical legal comparisons. The judge threw out all of the evidence, including a blood draw that the State alleged was 2.5 times the legal limit. Case was dismissed. Ive never seen a lawyer this honest, smooth, likeable to everyone, and on top of his game. In fact, i saw him beat a search warrant for another of his clients on a blood draw on a day i had a pretrial conference on my case. He is like a lawyer you see in a movie. Really. I will never call another attorney without first calling Bryan Cook.
