Atty. Jennifer Young was recommended by a colleague and became my best choice. Atty. Young presented me very well. She is straight forward and professional. I am happy with the outcome of her service, and I highly recommend her to anyone who's going through difficult family matters that requires legal intervention.

DO NOT EVER USE. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR EVEN PHONE CALLS THE ASSISTANT MAKES TO YOU. THEY WILL CREATE FALSE CHARGES. THEY WILL SAY YOU OWE THEM THOUSANDS AND THEY MIGHT NOT EVEN ACTUALLY SHOW UP TO COURT WITH YOU. RUn

DO NOT USE! EVER! UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. would give 0 stars if i could. I hired Mr. Tourkow to represent me in a custody case. He charged me a standard $1500 retainer the first day, and I did not hear from him again until the day before I had court, even though I had reached out multiple times. He assured me everything was fine, and in order. The next day, I call him 2 hours before court to see if he needs anything at all from me (he spent no time with me or asking about the case what so ever). I can only reach his assistant (as always, this is typical) and she informed me that no, Mr Tourkow would not be coming to court with me today, because he had a scheduled foot surgery that he has known about for months! I was outraged! So, after a few moments of shuffling, and asking me if they could call right back, she assured me everything was fine and that I should go to court as normal and someone would handle it. I show up, and they had sent a female attorney who knew and had absolutely nothing about my case, not to mention, SHE WAS STRICTLY A CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY AND DIDNT EVEN WORK IN FAMILY LAW!!!! I looked absolutely ridiculous in court and she literally stood up and walked out at the end without even speaking to me. I emailed them later that day, informing them that I was no longer in need of their services and to stop contacting me and to forward all information regarding the case back to me. I immediately started receiving nasty phone calls repeatedly and two days later i had a sticky note on my door saying "CALL ME BACK ASAP" and a bill for $5800 for "services rendered" and that was to be paid on top of my $1500 retainer Mr. Tourkow was keeping. In the itemized area of the 5800$ bill, it was included that a $680 charge for driving to my house to leave the bill on my door (I lived less than 2 miles from his office) and labeled it as EMERGENCY VISIT TO CLIENTS RESIDENCE** why that couldnt be mailed, or emailed, is not only NOT my problem, but not worth 680 dollars to anyone and a complete and utter joke. I find it all even MORE interesting that after they realized I wasnt going to answer them anymore or entertain threatening phone calls, I never heard another thing, and have still to this day (a year later) have not seen anything ever reported to ANY credit agencies that I owe them money which leads me to believe, theyre FULLY aware of how shady and predatory they are being with these charges. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable attorney who cares about clients needs. This attorney is a disgrace, waste of time, waste of 1500$, and even if im the only one like this, i cant see him handling even his most important of cases much better. He just wants your money.

I hired Chris LaPan to represent me in my second divorce. He offered me honest and valuable advice before I moved into an apartment, during the divorce proceedings, and during the mediation. He patiently explained concepts to me that I did not understand and always prepared me for possible responses from the other team. He is thoroughly knowledgeable and fully represented my interests while fairly dealing with opposing counsel. Moreover, he promptly responded to all my inquiries via email or phone and I never felt forgotten or that my case was in any way a lesser interest to him. Highly recommend.

Called and had the associate laugh at my request to print out a simple withdrawal form. She laughed because it’s in Wells county and not in Allen county. It is still the same state. She needs to be retrained. I will never use my services here or recommend anyone to this firm. Very rude
