McNeely/Stephenson Review for Dana Eberly-Peay I'm a 73 yr. old woman who decided to look for a patio home two yrs. ago in order to have less yard work and no stairs to climb. Having found what I wanted I moved forward selling my house. It took almost a year but it finally sold. Moved forward quickly signing a “first right of refusal” as there was another person interested. I was told that her papers were not in order and to go ahead and be prepared to buy. All things were ready and I had a closing date, when my Realtor called and brought papers saying I was being sued I couldn't figure out why and knew I needed a lawyer. I knew Dana had recently received her law degree so I called her and explained as best as I could what was going on. She told me to get all the paper work I had and come down to her office. She was a blessing. Patient with someone that knew nothing about these things. She took a great deal of time explaining over and over until I understood. She called the other persons lawyer getting information that I didn't have and concluded that I had a case and would I like for her to represent me. I was so impressed with her kindness and willingness to go the extra mile, knowing this was going to be complicated and continuing to assure me that it would be alright. I, of course, said yes please. The best decision I ever made in my life. Having already received a closing date I had to be out of my house with nowhere to go. Having a wonderful family, my niece had a small apartment that her daughter lived in who was gracious enough to use the guest room so I could bring a few of my things with me. I was there for three months. Dana always kept me apprised of all action taken and I gave her as much as I could remember, as a lot was verbal and time sensitive. I had to get my loan rate extended four times and was told it was the last time they could extend it. I was panic stricken thinking if this doesn't get resolved soon I would loose my patio home but Dana continued to encourage me it would be fine. I can be very impatient but she never lost her patience with me, most people would have. When finally I got the call saying I had my new home all I could say was “are you sure” over and over. She was as excited as I was and kept say “yes I am positive”. What a relief. After having my new home I decided to put it in a Trust so, of course, I called Dana and was given extremely good advice on protecting my investment.I would tell anyone, and have, if you want a lawyer with a heart that cares about her clients and will work tirelessly for them CALL DANA. I have had several experiences in the last 6 months with this group and am so amazed at the personal family feeling each time. My brother has had two episodes of needing Health POA and then full POA and these great people were able to come on an emergency basis both times to the nursing home just as my brother was being wheeled out on a gurney into the ambulance to go to the hospital. If they had not been so "on the spot", I don't know how I could have gotten through two traumatic episodes. I am now working with them for POA in my mother's behalf after my father's demise on December 3, 2016. Dana, Gary and staff have been so supportive in life/death situations. When the time came, she went to court, and truly represented me. This law firm is knowledgeable, professional, and always has their client's back. Their fees are reasonable, and fair.
