The first time I met Amanda she was beyond rude. Had to be asked several times to fix her attitude as it was unnecessary. She refuses to listen and will talk right over you. In my case, she had NO clue what she was even going on, yet, rude was her response. I was supposed to have a case closed entirely, upon her word and obviously the correctly filed paperwork. This LAWYER told me my case was closed, I would never have to deal with any of it again, only to receive a letter that it was NEVER closed. You will consistently play phone tag. She doesn't arrive with any sort of time to discuss what she's supposed to be a lawyer for. She comes with a bad attitude and a very condescending tone. Even though she's incorrect. Never once apologized for her behavior, lack of information or lack of education of the case. I will also add, HER office sent me paperwork claiming my case was closed. CSR sent me a letter saying absolutely different. She's another who brings the term "public pretender" to the epitome of it's definition. Just appalling

I would recommend Kyle to anyone going through any life changing event looking for Representation. She is genuine, honest and truly puts you first as a client. Kyle and her assistant both have exceded my expectations in staying in communication with you through the entire process. She takes time to listen to your questions and concerns, answer those and advises honestly without giving false hope or expectations. I couldn't imagine better representation through such difficult moments!

Kyle was great handling my divorce. She was honest and upfront on what to expect. She made a difficult time a little less stressful. I am thankful to have had her to walk me through the process.

I found Kyle to be honest, knowledgeable, level headed, caring and very capable. As a queer women of mixed race supporting her immigrant mother through a brutal divorce, the entire process was often very personal, triggering and trying. Kyle never judged and held space for us as we navigated the predominantly white male landscape of the Iowa court system. English is my mother’s second language and court jargon is often difficult to understand. We really appreciated the simple and accessible way Kyle explained everything to us the entire year we worked together. Kyle was kind, thorough, organized, realistic and fair while representing my Mom’s interests. We were seriously so blessed to work with her. Thank the stars!

Miss Heims has been my attorney for several years now and has always done a stellar job for me. She has communicated with me on weekends and holidays and on short notice for a variety of family issues, grandchild visitation, and interpretation of a family land trust. Miss Heims is preparing a will for me and has also agreed to be my Executor, tasks that I would only assign to someone whom I trusted my very life too. For someone to come on here and say anything negative about her practice, says more about that individual’s own lack of understanding about how the law works than anything else. Very similar to comparing the business of scrubbing toilets and mopping floors to a thriving law practice or a modern farming operation. I would recommend Amanda Heims to anyone for any legal matter.
