I rarely get onto these reviews but Tim and his assistant/paralegal were so fabulous I had to acknowledge them. I started my divorce down the self help divorce packet path in 2012. My ex partner was not cooperative and even after hiring a lawyer 2 years ago I was still unable to get the divorce finalized. Fast forward to a month ago when contacting Tim Dennison’s office........I meet with his staff Martha who was extremely understanding and kind, and within 5 business days I was personally getting a call telling me my divorce was final:) I highly recommend this law firm!

My mother contacted attorney Ruth Wilkerson about a family issue recently. Ms. Wilkerson was responsive, compassionate, and professional while answering all of her questions. She took the time to explain our legal options in terms we could both easily understand and I would highly recommend Hoge Partners to anyone in need of family legal services.

I am not only sharing this review of my experience so that Hoge Partners and Attorney Ruth Wilkerson are acknowledged for work well-done, but as a cautionary tale to any parent of an adult child. Recently, my adult son had a psychotic break. His father and I rushed him to a facility where was evaluated as a danger to himself and others and admitted for a 72 hour hold, for which we were left in near complete darkness as to his mental state, treatment, medication, etc., because he is an adult and without his consent, we were not allowed access to his status or treatment. Standard stuff there. We were not prepared for the impact of not knowing. We spent days sick with grief and worry, nights unable to sleep. Eventually until our son was stable "enough" to give his consent so that we could be briefed by his doctors and check in with the staff that was caring for him. Over time, he was able to come home to us. In the aftermath of what I can say was the worst experience I have ever had as a parent or a person, I looked legal support and found Attorney Ruth Wilkerson. She listened to my concerns, had solid answers and worked quickly to provide us with a Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care Matters - something that we may well have to use again in the future if our son has another break. We are hopeful that we never have to use these documents, but have some peace of mind knowing that if such a time ever arises, we will have need to help out son and the sound advice of a well-practiced, attentive and responsive attorney. Thank you, Attorney Wilkerson, for your kindness and consummate professionalism during our darkest hours. Any parent out there with grown adult children who are unmarried, may look to their parents for help. I would advise any parent out there to have this simple document in their hand in the event of a crisis situation. I wish I had done it sooner.

In my opinion, never hire Ruth Wilkerson to represent you! If you care anything about your future, she is not the attorney you want. When a person is going through a traumatic situation, such as divorce, they need someone to ask the right questions and fight for their best interest in every way...including financially. She did not. She is very short sighted and does not care enough to understand how divorce decisions can affect them forever. I have sought legal advice from another firm since my divorce and was informed that I was totally misrepresented by Ruth Wilkerson. Unfortunately my divorce agreement cannot be fixed. Ruth Wilkerson has legally tied my hands. Please, don't be a fool like I was. I hope what happened to me never has to happen to another person. I would rate her zero or negative if i could!

I'm glad some people have had positive experiences; however, I am very dissatisfied. Unprofessional and rude. I personally do not recommend.

Mr Dennison is a very experienced professional attorney , I have dealt with attorneys in my career and have had to retain personally. He definitely stands out as honest upfront and very knowledgeable. He is easy to talk to and does everything to make you feel comfortable with his representation he is my attorney and I will always recommend him to anyone that needs an attorney. It is not during pleasant times when you usually need an attorney but with Tim Dennison on your side you will feel very confident that you are fairly represented!

LOVE the response to my review below :) Please keep in mind if you read my review, I have money LOL - Your office didn't want to provide me a print out of cost of services so I could have them for my records before I paid. Your response is very professional as well! Very disappointed. I was referred Tim and Martha by my family lawyer Christy who is going through a family emergency. I waited months for Martha to pick up my case file due to court being closed (which i completely understand) just to be told Tim was not interested in representing me. Luckily, Martha told me Tim wasn't interested BUT she was willing to help. Just to be told a week later, she doesn't have time for me. I had to email Martha once a week just to get an update regarding the case files. I had to constantly follow up to be sure she received documents SHE requested from me. Its been two and a half months that I was given the run around for such a simple request, when I could have taken my business elsewhere. I'm very disappointed at how unprofessional this law firm was with me. Terrible communication. Next time; if you're not interested in representing someone, just tell them that up front so you don't waste their time.
