I would absolutely never recommend Borders and Borders to anyone. Not only was the closing experience completely disorganized, notary failure on multiple occasions, funding miscommunication, etc., but my primary contact was unbelievably rude. She was impossible to get ahold of, rude when we finally got ahold of her, terrible email communication, did not answer my questions on multiple occasions, did not keep me up to speed on the closing process, and much more. The only good thing about B&B was the attorney who sat with us at the closing table. She was extremely personable, but we would have needed 10 of her to make up for the rest of the experience.

This firm bills itself as a firm that only deals with real estate transactions. In 2020, Kentucky passed Senate Bill 114 allowing e filings for all real estate transactions. The associate I dealt with at this firm lied to me, and said Jefferson county did not accept e-filings. This is not the case they do accept them. They have accepted them since this law passed. I have even closed with e-vault and e-filings in Christian county which is much smaller than Jefferson county. I understand that they may just be outdated, which would have given them a three star review, but to argue with me rudely and say that the law doesn't allow for it is unacceptable. Please real estate agents re-think using this firm for being outdated, antiquated, and rude concerning Kentucky real estate laws and transactions. I live in Dubai, and I seem to know and understand Kentucky law better than they do. I can't believe they train their associates to give incorrect information, instead merely state, "we need to research this." Instead of rudely telling me I am wrong, and that they have done this job for years. I can't believe a law firm would give out incorrect information!
