Let's be honest, if you are consulting an attourney it's a pretty safe bet there is a storm brewing in your life that you are unable to navigate through on your own. As for me, I was caught up in a tangled net barely able to catch my breath consumed with exhaustion and feeling completely alone in the middle of my storm. Mr. Schmidt didn't just throw me a life jacket and tell me help was on its way. He jumped in head first, recognized my most challenging struggles and took them on himself enabling me to break free from the net and graciously pulled me out of the storm. And for the first time in a very long time I felt protected and significant. His patience, understanding, compassion and kind words have touched my heart in a special way. My fee for his services was$2000. I would have paid $10,000. He is truly my hero.

I would not recommend this attorney in my opinion. He was my divorce attorney for a year and in that year absolutely nothing was accomplished in my divorce. I feel i was taken for a ride for my money. He withdrew from my case after i expressed how i felt and now he is sueing me for $5000 in attorney fees. We had an agreement i would pay when divorce was done. I did make payments to him. He asked me in an email to send him $2000 and i expressed i could not afford that high amount. Not long after that he withdrew. I do not have anything to show for progress in my divorce infact it was delayed when he tried to get it transferred to bullitt county from jefferson county. He assured me it would be no problem getting it transferred and finally getting divorced so i agreed. Instead it was caught up in courts for months deciding which county will get it in the end it stayed in jefferson county. I am still waiting on my files to be available since asking for them from his assistant months ago after he withdrew. I plan on giving the bar association a call soon. I was asked by him numerous times in the first month i hired him to leave a good review for him. I did not feel it was appropriate to leave a review of any sort before any work was actually done on my case. In re of his response i drive an 04 cadillac escalade .I would hardly say its a nice vehicle at 14 yrs old.

My divorce was a mess and I had always been told not to switch midstream. I did and was very fortunate to have Mr. Schmit represent myself and mines family. I work hard in a union job and he made the outcome better tahn any of my union repersentatives thought it would be. Thank you for getting me into a better place.
