I consulted with Doug on a family matter, he was quick to respond, competent and knowledgeable. He helped me satisfactorily resolve a complicated issue during a distressing time, I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Doug is the man! While I was freaking out about my court case, he talked to me as a human helping give the information in a way I would understand. Takes into account feelings among trying to figure where you are as his client and ultimately trying to complete those goals. I would recommend him to anyone seeking his services.

Don't waste your money, he won't do a thing for you!

If you want a solid, aggressive attorney who is truly vested in your interest, Brett Duncan is NOT your guy. The custody arrangement he drew up for our family was vague and thrown together. He's a nice guy, and that's about it.

We are so impressed with the service we received from Ms Penton. She was available @ answered all our questions. Highly recommend her!

Where do I begin. My wife and I hired this man for a child custody case. It was a horrible experience. We were charged for things that never happened. He claimed to be communicating with the opposing party's lawyer and we came to find out that was never happening. He was my wife's attorney and refused to acknowledge that we made decisions together. We have been loosing horribly and finally realized it was due to our counsel. We reached out to a different attorney who guided us to push him to withdraw so we would stop losing. Its sad that his peers automatically sigh at the sound of his name. Dont waste your money and dont take chances I guarantee you will regret it! Don’t be fooled by his responses. We were charged for time he spent preparing and communicating with the opposing party. When he quit we spoke to the opposing party and we’re informed he never communicated once with them. I am recovering from cancer and Doug knew our finances were tight. Shame on you and the way you practice. Update: None of the motions you claim to have filed whatever filed. As soon as we hired a new attorney, we began to win. We are no longer in Saint Charles Parish, because the motion to move venues were finally filed. We were literally robbed of all our money with you. I will continue to tell as many people as I can how terrible the service was as no one should deserve to spend thousands of dollars for nothing

We contacted Christy because we wanted to insure our final wishes were met while continuing to lead our lives to meet our goals. She provided all of this and more. To begin she drew everything out on a white board so we could understand it (my wife really appreciated that). Then she crafted an estate trust for us that meant all our needs. We highly recommend her for family law and estate planning.

Incredibly beneficial. There were so many aspects of this process that I'd never be able to navigate myself. I appreciate knowing I can trust Christy to do right by me and my family now and moving forward.

Do your research before retaining. •There site makes it so you can’t access anything after the legal matters are done •in my case the lawyer didn’t represent me when we went to mediation. With other lawyers they speak for you Bret k Duncan didn’t do that in my case. Very uniformed. During entire process. •ended up settling outside of court with the mother so I was lucky. In my opinion he didn’t act professionally at all in my opinion it was very sexiest and I was very uneducated on the terms of what I could of done. Considering Iv had to go back to court and now have a new lawyer I would highly recommend looking around before letting this man take on your case. •didn’t notify me he was in court. Almost was late for my hearing do to having to track him down and fined him. Very frustrating when you’re nervous’ And you’re about to be in-front of a judge. •THIS IS NOT NORMAL PRACTICE. Other law firms will stay by your side 100% of the way and make sure you are calm and collected when entering as well as being fully informed of all options and they will be waiting for you if not greeting you at the door of the court house regardless if they have 20 clients that day. “That’s apart of there job” • very unprofessional. My experience with Christy and her staff was superb. She is super organized and takes care of everything for you and your estate planning. She thinks of areas that you may never even think about (like pets). She is very thorough and meets deadlines and sets expectations that you can count on. I highly recommend Christy to anyone who is looking to establish or even just update their existing Trust etc. Well worth the money for sure.

Find someone else. Don't pay for his next vacation. I was very disappointed with his lack of aggression in my divorce.
