We hired Mr. Schlaich to represent our adult son based on reviews I read regarding his experience and qualifications. He was extremely knowledgeable regarding the Harford County Court process and took the time to explain all the details to our son and to us. I was very impressed with the superior communication process and his professionalism. Carl routinely updated us with phone calls and letters to keep us informed. He was always prepared, motivated, and caring and we truly appreciated it. Our son was facing 2 felony charges and we believe the outcome would not have been as positive if Carl Schlaich had not been his attorney. We highly recommend him and his law firm. Thank you!

There was an instantaneous, humanitarian feeling working with Carl ! In addition he is an extremely personable attorney. He made it very evident that he was a fighter for his client, and made it clear he would go to any limit (legally) to win a case for his client ! Carl will search out all options to guarantee your case is a success! The case I had was extremely difficult case and very convoluted. A summary of my case was as follows: I sold an iPhone and allowed and individual to use a line on my sprint account with no contract, basically "pay as you go" and subsequently terminated his service for non-payment in a timely fashion. Because this person disrespected me and refused to honor my privacy by staying away from my residence and not contacted me, in addition to hacking my Sprint account, I subsequently filed a peace order against this individual. He then filed a small claims court suit for $5000 claiming that I inconvenienced his life. The District Court of Maryland Small Claims Division suggested that each person should contact one another and try to work out issues to resolve this matter and prevent going to court, which I attempted. When I contacted the person in question trying to resolve this matter, he decided to go to the commissioners office and file criminal charges claiming phone abuse. In addition, the States Attorney filed a second criminal charge stating that I was harassing him over the phone. I initially suggested to Carl that I wanted to go to the commissioners office and file criminal charges for unauthorized Internet access of my Sprint account. Carl subsequently researched Maryland state laws and notified me that there were indeed a criminal charges for unlawful and unauthorized Internet access. Because Carl has been a defense attorney for such a long time and has adjudicated many difficult cases in his career, in various jurisdictions he was able to show me why filing criminal charges for unauthorize Internet access for my cases in Harford County, MD would be more favorable as opposed to Baltimore County because filing the criminal charges in Harford County would put more pressure on the States Attorney in this county to file criminal charges against my adversary and or drop the cases against me entirely, which they eventually did. After I filed criminal charges against my adversary for unauthorized and unlawful internet access, the Sherriffs office did not have suffucient time to serve him with the criminal charge documents for authorized and unlawful Internet access prior to the initial court hearing. Carl soon discovered at the court hearing that the papers were not served to him and instinctively went to the sheriffs office and suggested they serve him outside the court room. Carl subsequently convinced the states attorney to re-schedule the hearing and combine the cases into one trial, and inevitably dismiss the cases against me. Subsequent to this, the small claims suit resulted in the plaintiff not appearing in court and this case was dismissed with predjudice. Carl being the astute lawyer that he is, drastically changed the dynamics of the criminal charges that were pending against me, and all charges were subsequently dismissed at the next hearing.

Carl was the best counsel I could have had for my DWI/DUI charge. I was very pleased with his experience with the Harford County court system and how to approach the case. He ended up helping me get the DUI charge dropped and a unsupervised PBJ for the DWI charge. His professionalism and his diligence was second to none, and I would recommend him over and over again.

After researching locally in Harford County I chose Attorney Schlaich law firm because of his experience, and was pleasantly surprised that he returned my call that evening after court. He explained the entire process. He was very reassuring and knowledgeable during our initial consultation and made me feel very at ease with his office ability to handle and deliver the desired outcome. I received updates as necessary. I would not hesitate to use or refer this law firm again. Schlaich & Thompson Law Firm provided outstanding professional service.

We have recently used him this pass month, and his knowledge of the Harford County system gave us a satisfactory outcome. Some of the charges were dropped, and got probation in the end result. A superlawyer in our book!

Carl Schlaich was hired to represent my son in Baltimore County. Mr Schlaich asked for any information and documentation which could be useful for my son's case and we provided as best we could. We followed Mr. Schlaich's advise. On the morning of the trial date we were informed that some documentation pertaining to the trial was not completed. Mr. Schlaich spoke to the prosecutor and gave us the option to postpone the case. However, while waiting for the conclusion of the documentation process Mr. Schlaich observed the Judge's dealings with defendants in the cases being heard. Mr. Schlaich then suggested that we proceed today. It was a good call on his part as the Judge did hand down a fair and favorable decision of a PBJ. I am thankful that we decided to have Carl Schlaich as our attorney in this matter.

I am a 19 yr old college student from Bel Air and was charged with a DUI in Harford County. After reading all of the positive reviews I felt that having Carl represent me would be the best for my case. Per Carl's request with all of his years of experience to take my case to trial, I received a Not Guilty verdict. Now thanks to Carl I can move on with my life knowing that this charge will not longer effect me. His professionalism in the court room is outstanding!!!!

Carl is quite educated on recent changes in Maryland law concerning marijuana possession, in particular for disabled individuals. We did not accept anything but what was needed by myself and acceptable to my physicians and family. It took two appeals, but we stood ground and won my case. Once again, thank you Carl for your help and concern.

Carl represented me in a very difficult case. I was falsely accused of assault by an ex-girlfriend. Carl did everything in his power to represent me to the best of his ability. He acknowledged how high the stakes were ,since I was not guilty. He also did a great job of outlining our strategy, and presenting that strategy to me. We ended up taking the issue to trial and Carl's courtroom prowess is unmatched. He hit on every key point, and effectively cross examined my accuser. Carl was always available to talk on the phone, email, or meet in person. He made it a point to be "straight up" with me, and let me know the seriousness of the situation, as well as the possible outcomes. Ultimately, I was found not guilty. I am extremely elated with the trial's ultimate disposition, as well as my representation. I can not recommend Carl Schlaich enough!
