CFC was very helpful during my journey. They answered any questions I had promptly, and walked me through each step of the entire journey. They were spot on with the matching process also. Overall, I had a great experience.

We are two dads who had a negative experience with CFC, and their handling made it worse. Early on, before we even signed with our surrogate, we became alarmed by two issues. 1. We felt the surrogate's behavior would have put the health of our child at risk. 2. Concern over the quality of the legal work (and weirdly the demeanor) of CFC's lawyer working with us. The concerns were serious enough that we felt we had no choice but to fire CFC. CFC's agreement that you sign is structured such that you pay only those fees that CFC has "earned". That sounds great. CFC proudly bills this feature on their website. The problem is, CFC has aggressively front-loaded those fees such that even before you sign an agreement with your matched surrogate, CFC claims it has "earned" over 30,000 dollars. This means that once you sign with CFC, even before you sign with your surrogate, CFC can walk away with over 30,000 dollars - no matter how bad a job they do, no matter how careless they are, no matter how unsuitable you discover your matched surrogate is. What value did CFC actually provide? In our case, they generated a partially negotiated contract that nobody signed, and they matched us with a surrogate who we fear was a health risk. We asked for a full refund. Instead, CFC sent back an 8-page termination contract, where they offered to refund a small portion of the fees, in exchange for essentially a gag order or NDA where we would be legally blocked indefinitely from ever discussing our experience with CFC. We rejected it. It made us wonder how many other parents have also had negative experiences with CFC, but signed this sort of silence agreement such that parents like us never got to hear the warning signs. We hope this information helps other families decide whether to work with this company, and we wish you the best of luck building your family. PS: This was the second time we worked with CFC. The first time went better, not without some frustration, but certainly not bad enough that we felt we had to complain or fire them. When it was all over, CFC asked us multiple times to post a perfect scoring review. (It also appears that one of the 5-star reviews listed here is from a CFC employee.) A few years later, we decided to try for a sibling. When discussing whether to hire CFC again, we decided we were already familiar with their process and "how bad could it be". So we went for it. I was a surrogate through CFC and I cannot say enough about how pleasant of a journey I had. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, the match that I made with the IPs was fantastic. If I decide to do another journey it will be with CFC.

As a second time surrogate I went through CFC for my second journey. This agency was more hands on and supportive. Every email or text was answered immediately and I never felt overlooked or “like another number” to them. I felt like the agency personally knew who I was and where I was in my journey. My case manager checked in with every appointment and was even present for some of them to add support to both myself and my IPs. There is not one bad thing I can say about this agency! I would highly highly recommend them to both GCs or intended parents.

We had an excellent experience with Creative Family Connections! Our initial consultation with the founder, Diane Hinson, gave us much hope and made us feel like we could make our dream come true. She generously met with us multiple times, providing useful advice on various matters, and we felt her warm support throughout the entire process. We had the pleasure of working with a wonderful case manager (Morgan), who provided comprehensive guidance throughout the journey and stayed in close touch, answering our questions at each step of the process. She served as a go-between for the gestational carrier and us in the early stages, and she liaised with the fertility clinic and the delivery hospital on our behalf. The legal team (Michelle and Jen) were also highly competent, answering numerous questions about the legal documents that they prepared on our behalf, including the agreement with the gestational carrier and the court order affirming our parentage, which was processed just in the nick of time as our child decided to arrive two weeks earlier than expected!

I cannot say enough great things about CFC! If you’re wanting to be a surrogate, this is the place to go. They make sure to take every measure possible to match you to the perfect couple, they are incredibly responsive, and the staff is AMAZING. I recently finished my first journey & would do it again in a heartbeat because all the ladies at CFC made it the best experience possible!

He was always very specific and very knowledgeable about his job. I was really comfortable throughout the whole process and he was always there to help me out whenever I was in need.
