Absolute worst. Hired them to contest a will. All they did was spend my money and provide very inadequate legal defense until all money was gone. They are crooks.

After being involved in a major car crash, I had no idea where to turn and my family and I felt overwhelmed not only by my injury, but everything else as well. We were fortunate enough to know a couple of lawyers in an unrelated field and when we asked them to suggest someone that we could talk to, they recommended Shulman Rogers. We are really glad that they did.
We worked with Mike Nakamura and Jessica Baker and found them to be fantastic. They met with us at the start of the process to go over everything and communicated with us regularly throughout the period that followed. Whenever we had a question, no matter how inane, they were not only happy to help us with it, but were incredibly quick to do so as well. Moreover, whenever new developments arose in case, they contacted us immediately.
There were a number of additional dimensions that I would like to highlight as to why we were so thrilled and grateful for the help that they gave us. First, they clearly had a very strong knowledge about everything and we could see this through how they negotiated on our behalf with the insurance company of the other driver. When the insurance company made an initial low-ball offer, Mike engaged with them very constructively and professionally, but he was also knew in what ballpark we should be looking (based upon previous cases, industry norms, etc) and was able to negotiate with them on the basis to obtain a more appropriate figure. I have no doubt that we would have had neither the knowledge nor the nerve to do that by ourselves. Second, they helped us to navigate all of the hurdles regarding the huge number of bills that were sent to us by all of the different emergency services and healthcare providers that we had interacted with as part of the aftermath of the crash, with Jessica fielding all of them directly and making our lives infinitely better as a result. Third, they always provided us with advice and suggestions, but never pressured us to do anything, which led us to feel both informed but also fully empowered when making decisions.
Overall, I would highly recommend both Shulman Rogers and Mike Nakamura and Jessica Baker in particular. They were professional, pleasant, responsive, and ultimately very effective. Throughout the process, we had total peace of mind and, ultimately, achieved a settlement that we were very happy with. A big thumbs up and thank you for all of their work.

I consulted with Mr. Protil about a medical malpractice case that has since settled for a substantial dollar amount. The case involved an emergency room physician's improper treatment of a corneal abrasion that caused a massive and rapid eye infection literally overnight and ultimately caused me to lose vision in the eye.
During our consultation, Mr. Protil opined that the treating physician had done nothing constituting malpractice, a fact that I disputed during our consult and have since validated as incorrect. His contention was that the doctor, who used the antiquated and no-longer-recommended method of applying a pressure patch to the affected was not a breach of standard. There were two decades worth of clinical reports that had rendered pressure patching "not helpful for any one" and "very dangerous for contact lens-wearers" which I had told Mr. Protil I was. In contact lens wearers, the pressure patch creates a dark, warm and moist environment in which a bacterium called Pseudomonas Aeruginosa can thrive and enter the eye, destroying it completely in some cases within 48 hours. Twenty years earlier, physicians learned never to pressure patch an abrasion on the cornea of a contact lens wearer. Mr. Protil just didn't seem to get that fact despite empirical evidence that egregious malpractice had in fact been committed. He wrote me a letter stating his opinion that I did not have a meritorious case. Thankfully, I did not listen to him and went on to file a sucessful medical malpractice case.

These medical malpractice lawyers should be on the top of your speed dial list when something goes askew and you need an attorney to represent you in a medical malpractice or personal injury case in Rockville, Montgomery County, the State of Maryland, or beyond.

When my 6-year old daughter fell out of a two-story window at her child care center, I didn't even know where to start. Luckily, I was immediately referred to Mike Nakamura. Together with his assistant, Jessica Baker, Mike provided the guidance and reassurance I needed to make the right decisions for my family. Because I was unfamiliar with the legal process and insurance practices for this type of accident, I was afraid to make the wrong decisions. Mike and Jessica eased my mind, gave me practical and sound advice, and always took time to listen to my concerns. In the midst of their busy profession, they always made me feel like my daughter came first. I know I would not have been able to deal with this alone. Because of their help, we were able to make a settlement that will provide for my daughter in the future. Mike and Jessica were knowledgeable, compassionate, and always available. They worked diligently to take care of my daughter and my family. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to a friend.
